JDS neither approached me nor discussed about LS polls: Sumalatha

Mysuru, Mar 2: Actress Sumalatha, wife of former Karnataka and Union Minister late M H Ambareesh, who has decided to enter politics today said that no one from Janata Dal (Secular) had met him nor discussed about Lok Sabha election with her so far.

Speaking to newsmen on Saturday after visiting Suttur Mutt and seeking blessings of Seer Shivaratri Deshikendra Swamiji. She said “Our family was known to the seer for long and I came to seek his blessings".

She said she discussed with the Seer about the movie of her son Abhishek and also discussed the recent happenings.

United Marine Products receives MPEDA best exporter award

United Marine Products, Karnataka and Goa has been awarded the MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) best exporter award for outstanding export performance of 2017-18 and second best exporter of 2018-19 from the govt of India under the category "Fishmeal, Fish oil and Allied products." held at Grand Hyatt, LuLu convention center, Kochi.

The award was conferred in the presence of Central Minister for state, commerce and Industry Mr Som Parkash and Honourable minister for fisheries, govt of Kerala Mercy kutty Amma. Mr Muhammad Sameer, Managing Partner, received the award.

DK Automobile & Tyre Dealers Association donates Rs 1 lakh to COVID-19 relief

Mangaluru, May 5: Covid-19 pandemic has caused widespread economic devastation in the country. Many people have lost their livelihood. All sectors of the economy are in distress. Providing relief to the needy is the need of the hour. Responding to this humanitarian crisis, Dakshina Kannada Automobile & Tyre Dealers Association has contributed a sum of Rs. One Lakh towards Covid-19 relief.

Association President Sri Kasturi Prabhakar Pai along with Vice President Sri Harsha Kumar Kedige, Secretary Sri K. Vilas Kumar and Treasurer Sri Maroor Shashidhar Pai handed over two cheques for Rs. 50,000/- each favouring ‘PM Cares’ – the Prime Minister’s Covid-l9 Relief Fund and ‘Chief Minister Relief Fund Covid-l9’ of Karnataka respectively to Smt. Sindhu B. Rupesh, IAS, Deputy Commissioner of D. K. District at her office in Mangalore on Monday, May 4, 2020.
