Mysuru, Oct 16: Journalist M G Rajesh (40) died in a road accident near Talakadu in T Narasipur taluk on Sunday.
Rajesh, along with his family members, was travelling by car to attend a function in Mudukuthore when the mishap occurred.
According to family members, the last rites will be held in Mysuru on Monday. Rajesh’s sister-in law Mahima (37) also died in the mishap.
Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.

Madikeri, Jul 24: Water from river Cauvery, which is deemed as holy, and mud from Kodagu, the birth district of river Cauvery was collected and will be sent to Ayodhya for use during groundbreaking (Bhoomi Pooja) ceremony for the construction of Ram Mandir on August 5.
Workers of Bajrang Dal, Vishwa Hindu Parishat and Hindu Jagarana Vedike collected the soil and water from River Cauvery at Talacauvery Kshetra, the birthplace of river Cauvery.
Special pooja was offered at Talacauvery, praying for the timely completion of the Ram Mandir in Ayodhya.
