Jubail: ‘Social Forum Cup-2019’ knockout cricket tourney from Feb 21

Jubail: Indian Social Forum Karnataka will be hosting limited over format cricket ‘Social Forum Cup-2019’ knockout cricket tournament at Al-Falah Cricket ground Al-Jubail starting from 21st February 2019. As part of promoting sports activities among Indian Expatriate community and for the Indian cricket fans, Indian Social Forum has been successfully conducting cricket Tournament in Saudi Arabia since decade. 

While conveying the statement, Mohammad Shameer, ISF Jubail Block president and coordinator of the event said ‘Leading Indian cricket teams from Eastern Province have already been registered their names and hence organizers are expecting a tough competition in the tournament. In the meantime a large number of cricket fans, icons and cricket spectators are expected to witness the grand cricket tourney. Along with Cricket tournament, Spot games and other fun & entertainment programs will be conducted for fans gathered in stadium throughout the day’.

Indian Social Forum extends heartfelt appreciation to the sponsors for the generous support to organize cricket ‘SOCIAL FORUM CUP-2019 Knockout Cricket Tournament’. The tournament is jointly sponsored by Expertise Contracting Co Al-Jubail & Saleh Ayed Balharith Est (SAB). 

Post 2 days cricket tourney, Colorful closing ceremony will be held on 22nd February 2019 which will feature leading Indian personalities, officials and sponsors from Saudi Arabia.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter organized a "Live along with COVID-19" webinar on 29 May 2020 in association with HealthCare Polyclinic, Dammam.

The webinar at Zoom App. featured over 150+ resident Kannadigas from Saudi Arabia's eastern and neighboring provinces.

Dr. Shailendranath made a presentation on the program and gave useful information. Indian Social Forum Dammam, Karnataka Chapter President Sharif Joktake delivered the keynote address. General Secretary Irshad Jokatte stalled the program.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
