Mumbai, Aug 27: After winning hearts with his comedy show 'Comedy Nights With Kapil', Comedy King Kapil Sharma is now all geared up to leave the box-office register ringing.
Well, even before the release of his first Bollywood venture 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon', people have already started comparing Kapil Sharma with the Baadshah of Bollywood Shah Rukh Khan.
Comparing the stand-up comedian with superstar Shah Rukh Khan, filmmaker duo Abbas-Mustan, who gave Kapil his debutant movie, told media that they had signed Shah Rukh when he was a newcomer and today, he has become a superstar.
Similarly, they have also roped in Kapil Sharma , a greenhorn in the industry, who may turn into a star like Shah Rukh.
Not just this, but just like Shah Rukh Khan, who never fails to make news for his injuries on the sets, Kapil Sharma too suffered with a slip disc while shooting for his first film.
The makers of 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' also stated that Kapil was their first and only choice for the movie as people were eager to see him on the silver screen.
Besides Kapil, 'Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon' also stars Arbaaz Khan, Manjari Fadnis, Simran Kaur Mundi and Elli Avram in lead roles.
The film is scheduled to hit theatres on Sep 25.
Kapil has been ranked No.3 in the Most Admired Indian Personality List by The Economic Times.
He was born in Amritsar, Punjab and his father was a head constable in the police department and his mother is a housewife.
