Karan Johar found my moustache hot: Twinkle Khanna

August 20, 2015

Mumbai, Aug 20: Actress-turned-writer Twinkle Khanna has revealed that filmmaker Karan Johar was in love with her when they were together in boarding school.

Twinkle"Karan has confessed that he was in love with me. I had a little moustache at that time and he used to look at that and say 'That's hot, I like your moustache'," said Twinkle, during the unveiling of her book "Mrs Funnybones".

Her husband Akshay Kumar, mother Dimple Kapadia, Aamir Khan, Sussanne Roshan and Sonali Bendre graced the occasion.

Twinkle -- who acted in popular films such as "Mela", "Jab Pyaar Kisise Hota Hai" and "Baadshah" among others -- shared an interesting anecdote about Karan.

"We were in boarding school together and he was constantly hungry for some reason. So he kept telling me to rob food for him from the canteen. Finally, I got fed up and told him 'why don't you run away? I can't rob more food for you'.

"We were at the end of a hill, so I said 'roll down the hill, get a boat from there and run away'. He rolled down the hill but they caught him and they made him climb back, which took him two hours and they made him an example in the assembly making him stand next to the principal as a fugitive."

Karan Johar completed the incident by saying: "And the principal said 'Will you do what this boy has done?' I was made some sort of a guinea pig at that stage and it was the most humiliating experience of my life. And I was all of 12 years old."

He said he was traumatised after the incident because of Twinkle, and recalled pleading in front of his parents to remove him from the school.

Karan Johar told Aamir Khan that it was the same school where his film "Taare Zameen Par" was shot.

New Delhi, Jan 9: A Delhi court Thursday directed the makers of the Deepika Padukone starer feature film 'Chhapaak' to give credit to acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal’s lawyer in the movie.

Additional Civil Judge Pankaj Sharma said it was necessary that advocate Aparna Bhat's contribution is acknowledged.

"This Court is of the considered view that facts are indicative that the plea of the plaintiff for interim injunction is well-founded and it is necessary that her contribution be acknowledged by providing on the slide on the actual footage and the images, the line 'Aparna Bhat continues to fight the cases of sexual and physical violence against women' during the screening of the film.

"The said line on screen maybe with a rider that the same is with the court order," the judge said.

Advocate Bhat filed the application saying that despite representing Agarwal in courts for several years and helping in the movie-making, she was not given credit in the movie.

She said the filmmakers took her help in the entire process of writing and shooting the movie, but did not give the credit.
