Mandya, Aug 29: Karnataka Chief Minister B S Yediyurappa, who offered Puja at Krishnaraja Sagar Reservoir (KRS) on Thursday, said bountiful rain had brought relief to the people of Karnataka as well as Tamil Nadu and described the current situation as “nature’s solution” to the problems faced by the two States over sharing of waters.
Speaking on the occasion, Yediyurappa said that the four major dams built across river Cauvery, including KRS, have reached their Full Reservoir Level (FRL) for the second successive year after eight years of shortage, bringing much-needed delight to farmers and residents. In all 112 Tmc ft of water stored in these dams.
"We have also released sufficient water to Tamil Nadu as per direction by the tribunal". he added.
Mangaluru, Jan 11: Reacting to the recent video clippings provided to the media by former chief minister HD Kumaraswamy in connection with the December 19 unrest in Mangaluru, city Police Commissioner Dr PS Harsha on Saturday said that the video has to be seen in a proper sequence to come to a conclusion on the happenings of that day.
