Bengaluru, Oct 27: The CCB Police have arrested 60 Bangladesh Citizens, including 22 women and nine girls, on charges of overstaying in the city after the expiry of their Visa period, Joint Commissioner of Police Sandeep Patil said here on Saturday.
According to Mr Patil, raids were conducted in several areas on Friday night, following alert from the Central agency to keep a watch on foreign nationals, who were overstaying in the city and indulging in anti-terrorist and criminal activities.
In all, 60 people were arrested and verification of their Passports and Visas was taken up. Some of them had even obtained Aadhar Cards illegally for getting ration and other facilities from the state government, the JCP disclosed.
