Kavalkatte committee's ‘Mehfile Muhabbath’ to mark UAE National Day

Dubai: The UAE committee of Al- Qadisa Educational Academy, Kavalkatte, will be hosting a ‘Mehfile Muhabbath’ to mark the UAE National Day on December 2 at 5 p.m. at J W Marriott Hotel, Muraqabad Dubai.

This was announced at a press meet here on Friday. Bolvar Bashir, President of the committee, Kotekar Faraz Sheikh, Chairman of the reception committee, Aster Basheer Bantwal, treasurer of Dubai committee, Ashraf Haji Adyar, vice president of Dubai committee, Mohammed Azeem Uchila, communication coordinator, Iqbal Kajur, program coordinator, Rafeek Kalladka, coordinator of reception committee, Riyaz Kondangeri, media coordinator, Shareef Hosmar, joint coordinator of the reception committee were present at the press meet.

They said: Maulana Dr Muhammad Fazil Razwi, the founder of the Academy will preside over the function. U T Khader, Minister for Food and Civil Supplies, government of Karnataka, will inaugurate event.

Ibrahim Musliyar Bekal, Khazi of Udupi and president of Karnataka Jamiyyatul Ulama, CM Ibrahim, vice-chairman, Karnataka State Planning Commission, Abdul Kader Bashu Shirur, chairman of the Green Valley International School, KM Rasheed Haji Bellare, vice-president of the Muslim Jamaat Council, Haji Abdul Jaleel, Rustak Trading Dubai, Abdul Rahman Vanoo of Hannan Group, Haji Sheikh Bava, General Secretary of the International Committee of KCF will be the special invitees. Hafil Sufiyan Saqafi, principal, Al Qadisa Islamic College, will deliver keynote address.

Zakariya Jokatte of Al-Muzain Group, Saudi Arabia, Nasser Hussain, Al-Falah Group, Saudi Arabia, Abubakker Padubidri, Raisco Group, Saudi Arabia, Sayyid Imtiyaz Bavajan Saheb, Al Qarain Group of Pharmacies, UAE, Farooq Ullal , Riyadh, Saudi Arabia will be the guests of honour.

As part of the programme Farhathul Habeeb team from Abu Dhabi will recite Burda, Na’athe Sharif and Maulood. As part of UAE National Day, different programs will be held. Several dignitaries from UAE and other countries are expected to participate.

Al- Qadisa Educational Academy is coming up at Kavalkatte, Bantwal Taluk under the leadership of Dr. Muhammad Fazil Razwi, known as "Kavalkatte Hazrath”.

The proposed educational academy is going to be part of a mega campus evolving in Kavalkatte which will comprise of various projects.

This includes an educational home for the underprivileged/disabled children, a housing colony with 200 houses for the poor and destitute, a college to impart Islamic education and a series of modern school and college education premises, stated a media release issued here.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Dubai: A blood donation drive was conducted by Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club (KSCC) at in Al Wasl Club Stadium here on Friday, 26th June 2020.

The drive started around 1:00 pm and continued till 4:00 pm as per schedule provided by the Dubai Health Authority (DHA) Blood Donation Centre and 60 people donated blood to support the Blood Bank. The drive was well organised by maintaining social distance in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic.

As blood cannot be produced but only can be donated, this drive will help many patients in need of blood during emergencies. Donors were also feeling proud and happy at this moment thinking of saving someone’s life.

DHA Blood Donation Centre staff carried out the screening and testing done in very well manner keeping social distancing during this pandemic. Volunteers of KSCC were also helping the staff to keep people in safe distance and to make this drive a success.

KSCC Manager Mr. Mohammad Shafi and other office bearers were present at the event venue. KSCC thanked the volunteers, Community Development of Authority (CDA), Dubai Health Authority (DHA), Blood Donation Centre, Government of Dubai and Al Wasl Club Stadium for making the event successful.

Mangaluru, May 22: An elderly cardiac patient from Dakshina Kannada, who was stranded in Saudi Arabia due to covid-19 lock-down, has finally reached his homeland thanks to the timely intervention by Humanity Forum Jubail and Indian Social Forum.

The elderly man hailing from Kadaba area of Dakshina Kannada was admitted to a hospital in Madinah. However, his condition continued to worsen due to lack of proper treatment. The efforts by his family members to bring him back home had not yielded results.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the patient, Ansari Suratkal, who happens to be a DKSC activist, brought the issue to the notice of the Karnataka unit of the Indian Social Forum in Dammam. ISF contacted Humanity Forum president Zakariya Jokatte, who helped the patient to speak directly union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in a video conference organised by coastaldigest.com.

Humanity Forum also persuaded the Indian Embassy to allow the stranded cardiac patient to fly back to India through Dammam-Bengaluru repatriation flight on May 20. 

However, it was not easy for the patient to travel from Madinah to Dammam International Airport due to lock-down and curfew. ISF not only obtained travel permission for him but also arranged vehicle. Jeddah and Riyadh units of ISF helped in obtaining permission letter in their respective places in spite of travel ban imposed by the police. Madinah unit of ISF arranged vehicle for transportation. Zakariya Jokatte bore the air ticket and other expenses of the patient.
