KCF Dubai hosts special programme to mark India’s I-Day

Dubai : Karnataka Cultural Foundation (KCF) - Dubai organized the 69th Independence Day celebrations in a grand manner at the Bur Dubai Musalla tower.

The programme began with the invocation of prayer and blessings. The prayer was led by Kodungayi Aboobakkar Musliyar.

Dubai BCF vice-president M A Moolur inaugurated the programme and spoke about the importance of unity in diversity.

KCF Dubai President Mahaboob Sakhafi Kinya presided over the programme. Speaking on the occasion he said, "We should take forward the legacy of our freedom fighters.”

Stating that Islam does not teach extremism, he said those who indulge in such acts are going against the tenets of Islam.

Sharjah Karnataka Sangha president Sathish Venkataramana appreciated the KCF organisers for putting up the special programme to celebrate the 69th Independence Day.

Sharjah Karnataka Sangha patron Mark Dennis Dsouza, ex-president Prabhakar Ambalatere, Dubai Tulu Patherga Tulu Oripaga Premjith also addressed the gathering.

KCF UAE national committee Abdul Jaleel Nizami delivered the concluding speech. Abdul Rasheed Padil and Mohammed Rafeeq Jeppu sang national anthem.

Dubai BCF Vice president Lathif Mulky, Ashraf Haji Adyar, Hussain Haji Kinya, E.K.Ibrahim Haji Kinya, Abdulla Ustad Kudthamuger, Moosa Haji Basara were present.

Iqbal Kajoor spoke about introduced of Karnataka Cultural Foundation in UAE and its aims and objectives. KCF Dubai general secretary Khalandar Kabaka welcomed the gathering, Dubai KCF convenor Rafeek Kalladka thanked the people who participated in the celebrations. Riyaz Kodangeri compered the programme.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.

Manama: Kannada Sangha Bahrain President Mr. Pradeep Shetty and Vice President of Bahrain's prestigious KHK HEROES Foundation Mohammed Mansoor on Monday, May 11, met The Second Secretary (Consular & CW) of the Embassy of India, Bahrain Mr. P. K. Chowdhury in the Indian Embassy. 

The situation, problems and relief of Indians and Kannadigas residing in Bahrain during the COVID 19 Pandemic was discussed in detail. The distribution of food (dry ration) kits, as well as those seeking repatriation, was also discussed in the meeting.

When asked about the repatriation of distressed Kannadigas, the Second Secretary said that though the number of Kannadigas who wish to return home is not much compared to the rest of the states, still Embassy is compiling all the information and will do the needful soon. 

Mr. Shetty and Mr. Mansoor told the Second Secretary that those who are in problem can contact them and they are ready to do their best.
