Riyadh, Mar 6: The Khidma Foundation Riyadh Unit ( Kundapur Taluk Level ) organized first get together event which was held on 28th Feb 2014 at Azizah Instirah in Riyadh, KSA.

Abdul Gafoor (President of Basroor Jamaath), Shaikh Ansar and Shaikh Imtiyaz ( Owner OF A1 Plastic Co – Kundapur Jamaath) Mohammed Yaseen (Shiroor) Abdul Gafoor (President of Nagoor Jamaath) Mohammed Aslam ( Kodi Jamaath) Bedre Ibrahim ( Hanglore Jamaath) M. Saifuddin (Kirimanjeshwar Jamaath) Aslam Raja ( Golihole Jamaath) were among the dignitaries who took part in the event.

Khidmah Foundation is a non-profit and charitable organization that aimed at achieving various programmes, which spotlight mainly on the community services and developments, women’s empowerment and children’s development, socio-educational and health care programs in the socially and economically backward areas of the Kundapur Taluk Based on the mission,

Khidma foundation have planning to provide houses for most deserved families especially orphaned and abandoned families few areas around the Kundapur Taluq . As Mohammed Sayeed Mali (Joint Secretary of KF Riyadh) briefed in his presentation describing the detailed Planning and our goals . KF set a plan to build houses in near future at around land it will purchase very soon. The Colony will have an sophisticated community development centre, which will house for self-employment program(like tailoring classes, self-help scheme groups, home industry etc.), educational centre (both Islamic and general educations) along with adult education, library, healthcare centre etc.

The event was kicked off with his welcome address, Brother MH Tahir, Adviser of KF, told that it was a unique gathering and a large number e people from different parts of Kundapur Taluq under one platform including Kundapur, Kodi, Koteshwar, Hanglore, Basroor, Hemmadi, Trasi, Nagoor, Shiroor, Naikan katte, Jamaaths guests from subcontinents took part in the first Event 2014.

Fazlu Rahman Kolkar, General Secretary of Khidmah -Riyadh has given brief view of point for Khidma Foundation The ground reality is different as sufferings and agonies of the underprivileged are still not being heard as it to be. Proper food, clothing, housing, medicine, education and other basic necessities are not adequately available for such people. Some women and children, who initially gets infected with minor diseases, are getting exposed to the major physical and mental sicknesses due to lack of the medical care and awareness and treatment.

A lot of events for the boys, girls, children, men and women were conducted, and winners and runners were awarded with fabulous prizes. Nasrulla Shaikh, Toufeeque and his team conducted various sports events for men and children. Quiz competition was also one of the attractions of the Fest both for adults and children. MH Tahir led the quiz session and ladies gift sponsored by Bedre Ibrahim.

Najeeb MH, Abdussalaam Moulana and Abu Mohammed Moulana and his team was in charge of the reception.

A scrumptious and lip-smacking food was served through home-made catering. Jaffer Shaikh, Toufeeque, Riyaz Masni, Mustaq and his team was in charge of the food section, which gained name for the taste and quality. Dastagir Shahee Mohalla, through his Tea Stall, provided a tea / coffee to the guests.

Brother Mh Tahir was felicitated and honored with memento for his best community service from behalf of GMJ Riyadh unit.

Program commenced with the recitation of the verses from the Holy Qur’aan by Muhammed Huzaif Moulana, Islamic Songs Faeeza Rahman Kolkar and Hifza Abdussalaam, followed by a talk by Hafiz Mohammed Imran , who highlighted the significance of mass charity-giving as good as offering five times prayers in congregation. He focused just as Salaat is the most important act of worship which has to be performed bodily, so is Zakat the main act of worship which has to be performed monetarily. Those who fulfill this duty have been promised abundant reward in this world and hereafter.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Indian Overseas Congress (IOC) Chaiman Dr Sam Pitroda held video conference with senior IOC office bearers across Middle Eastern countries on 14th April 2020 to review the impact of COVID-19 pandemic among Indians residing in the region. Almost all speakers appreciated the efforts initiated and  implemented by  respective governments to contain spread of the deadly virus as well as measures taken towards welfare of the people affected by the lockdown. 

IOC Presidents, Mohammed Mansour - Bahrain, Abdullah Manjeri - Saudi Arabia, Dr J Ratan kunar - Oman and Girish kumar - Qatar, highlighted the quality treatment of patients and finacial aid provided by governments and other authorities. Bahrain IOC president Mansour , also  apprised about the 'Food for Needy' drive in Association with KHK Heroes foundation, initiated by HH Sheikh Khalid Bin Hamad Al Khalifa and quality treatments as well as financial aid to local and expat residents.

Anura Mathai, IOC  Global Event Coordinator, spoke about certain problems of Indians in the UAE. IOC Middle East Convener, Mansoor Palloor, emphasised and requested IOC Chairman to urge Indian government to arrange immediate repatriation of indians stranded in Gulf countries. AICC Secretary, Himanshu Vyas, IOC Secretary Dr Arathi Krishna, Dr Arshi Malik (Abha), Mohiuddin Sirajudeen (Jeddah), Advocate Joseph Palathara (Dammam) Prasad Kodru, Jayati Maitra Ziyad Ahmed (Qatar) and Khursheed Alam (Gen Secretary- Bahrain) also apprised the participants about various issues relevant to the pandemic and suggested further initiatives to be undertaken. 

Dr Sam Pitroda briefed about sustained and consolidated efforts by all IOC members  during this unprecedented situation facing the world and assured that he would convey IOC  concerns to the government and try his best to ensure all possible help is made available to all needy Indians.

Jeddah: The first chartered flight for repatriation passengers from Jeddah to Bengaluru organized by Karnataka NRI Forum Jeddah – Saudi Arabia was successfully landed at Bengaluru airport by 01.00 am on 19th July 2020.

Spice Jet (SG9884) departed from King Abdul Aziz International Airport Jeddah by 05.00 pm local time with 177 stranded passengers which includes 12 Pregnant Woman, 3 infants, 44 Short term visa holders, 3 medical emergency patients and 115 migrate workers and labours from various districts of Karnataka state.

Karnataka NRI Forum Jeddah, a registered charitable organization under Government of Karnataka & Indian Consulate Jeddah - Saudi Arabia, helping the Kannadigas overseas & in Karnataka State as well, has initiated major role for helping stranded Kannadigas to travel back to home. During Pandemic hundreds of stranded Kannadigas were approached to the forum and requested to arrange special chartered flight to Bengaluru from Jeddah.

Initiating from collecting the data of passengers, the forum’s special panel including its President Mr. Mohammed Mansoor, Secretary Mr. Peter Mascarenes, Vice Presidents Mr. Nasir Khurshid, Dr.Ashfaque Maniyar, Chief Coordinator Mr. Shaikh Saoud, Cultural Secretaries Mr. Arifulla Shariff and Mr. Rajesh Suvarna, Treasurer Mr. Habib Rahman and Press Secretary Mr. Baig, the forum’s members have worked very hard to conclude this task very successful. 

The forum provided food packets as refreshment, complementary PPE kitsto each passenger as precaution against the spread of any infections while travelling and also guided all passengers by supporting them in Awdha portal (Saudi Passport Department) and Seva Sindhu portal registration of Government of Karnataka.

The official travel partner ITL Travel Management Company has rendered remarkable service to the passengers not only in ticketing but also supported with top priority in confirming the aircraft from SPICE JET and availed good service from ground staff at Jeddah Airport. 

All passengers have reached safely to their homes after completing the 7 days institutional quarantine at Bengaluru. 100% passengers had NEGETIVE report on Covid-19 test made on arrival as well as after institutional quarantine. 

In the press release published from the President, Mr. Mohammed Mansoor has expressed his prodigious gratitude to the Ambassador of India to Saudi Arabia H. E. Dr. Ausaf Sayeed, Deputy Consul General of India - Jeddah Mr. Y Saber and Chief Minister of Karnataka State Shri B. S. Yediyurappafor providing necessary approvals and NOC for the chartered flight operation. He also conveyed his boundless appreciationto Shri B. Y. Raghavendra, Member of Parliament Shimoga District (Karnataka) for his swift support extended to the forum and as well to Dr. Aarathi Krishna, Ex-Deputy Chairperson – NRI Forum of Karnataka – Government of Karnataka for her significant guidance and support on completing this mission.

The forum has thanked all the officers in King Abdul Aziz International Airport Jeddah and Kempegowda International Airport Bengaluru for the facilities provided to the passengers. The Forum has thanked all passengers travelled for their calmness and also thanked to all other members of the forum, Staff of ITL Travels and SPICE JET for their tremendous support extended throughout the mission accomplishment.
