Udupi, Nov 8: The Karnataka Muslim Parishath has taken exception to Udupi-Chikkamagaluru MP Shobha Karandlaje’s allegation that Urban Development, Haj and Wakf Minister R. Roshan Baig was involved in the murder of RSS activist Rudresh, which took place at Shivaji Nagar in Bengaluru on October 16, stating that she had made the allegation without giving any proof.

Journalist tests covid positive; Press Club sealed

Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.
Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.

Comedian Bullet Prakash passes away at 44

Bengaluru, Apr 6: Popular Kannada comedy actor Prakash, popularly known as Bullet Prakash in the film industry, died due to multi-organ failure at a private hospital in the City on Monday.
He was 44.
He is survived by wife, one son and a daughter.

Two held with illicit liquor in Bengaluru

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.
The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.
A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.
