Kolkata-based aerial gymnast Manik Paul is the winner of India's Got Talent season 6, the grand finale of which happened on Saturday night. Paul, a 22-year-old self taught gymnast, turned emotional after the win, saying that he wants to buy a home for his mother with the `50-lakh prize money he won along with a Maruti Celerio car.

"My mother is my inspiration. She is the reason I have put in hard work. I have seen her struggle since I was five and now want to make her life easy," said Paul, who spent most of his childhood and teenage years battling utter poverty after his father passed away at a young age. He now wants to start an aerial gymnastic institute for underprivileged children. Ever since the show's season 6 started in April, Paul has regaled with his athletic and graceful moves on the India's Got Talent stage. His skills particularly won him an admirer in choreographer-filmmaker Remo D'Souza, whose latest film ABCD 2 is drawing full houses right now.

When he appeared as a guest on the show to promote ABCD 2, Remo had promised to do some work with Paul in the future. An emotional Paul had then revealed how he had tried setting up an appointment with Remo several times at the latter's office to seek some work, but was unsuccessful.

The grand finale of the popular Colors channel show also saw the likes of Faisal Khan, Elli Avram and rapper Raftaar add to the extravaganza with colourful acts.

Season 6 of India's Got Talent was hosted by noted comedian Bharti Singh along with actors Nakul Mehta and Siddharth Shukla. The season was judged by model-actor Malaika Arora Khan, actor Kirron Kher and filmmaker Karan Johar.

All the three judges had been encouraging Paul all through the season and are extremely happy that he has finally won.

Saturday evening saw a keen battle between six finalists. Paul beat gymnast Yogeshwari Mistry, fusion singer-duo Harmanpreet Kaur and Parry G, hand-shadow artist Prahlad Acharya, and dance groups XIX and Beat Breakers.

The complaint was filed on May 25, the person who is called Suman Paul said.

Nobel is not yet a popular singer in Bangladesh and has always been rejected by the audience of that country. He participated in the TV music reality show called Sa Re Ga Ma Pa in Kolkata, earned money, gained fame and returned to Bangladesh. If the person insults our prime minister it cannot be accepted. So I filed the FIR, Paul told reporters.

Belonia superintendent of police Jal Singh Meena confirmed that the complaint was registered and forwarded to Tripura Polices cyber crime cell.

The complaint was registered the same day it was filed at Belonia police station under Indian Penal code sections 500 (punishment for defamation), 504 (intentional insult), 505 (public mischief) and the IT Act.

We have registered the complaint and forwarded it to the cybercrime cell because it is not in the Indian cyberspace. We have started an investigation into the issue, the SP said.
