Kuwait: Kiran Sunny elected SACAA President

Kuwait: St Aloysius College Alumni Association (SACAA), Kuwait held its Annual General Body meeting at Salmiya, Kuwait under leadership of the outgoing President Ashley D’Silva.

SACAA Kuwait is in existence from 11 + years when like-minded Aloysianalumni based in Kuwait felt the need to bond together and re-live those memories and importantly support the Alma Mater wherever possible.

Proceedings began with a brief self-introduction of every member present followed by the outgoing President Mr. Ashley D’Silva welcoming everyone to the gathering. This was followed by the Treasurers report given by Mr. Neethan Cutinha who accounted for thevarious events that were conducted during the last two years. Also, a moment of silence was observed in remembrance of the very active and supportive alumni,Mr. Cyril Peris.

The elections for the new committee were conducted by the Election Commissioner, Mr. Sudhakar Shetty, a senior SACAA member.

Mr. Ashley D’Silva was nominated as the President of the Advisory Committee.

Mr. Kiran Sunny, the newly elected president in his inaugural message asked for the support of not only the committee but the entire SACAA Alumni fraternity in Kuwait for their wholehearted cooperation & support to make this a successful term. The new committee, assured members of dedicatedly carrying out their assigned duties and responsibilities as office bearers of SACAA Kuwait, by conducting various social, cultural and community based developmental activities that would promote the primary purpose of the association i.e. to give an opportunity to the Kuwait based Aloysian alumni to network amongst each other, bringing together both senior and young members. The annual GBM and elections concluded with a sumptuous dinner catered by Caesars.

All non-registered Aloysian alumni residing in Kuwait are kindly requested to register their names as members of SACAA Kuwait by emailingtheir personal details to [email protected]. Keeping up with modern social media trends, the SACAA Kuwait Facebook page “SACAA-KUWAIT” allows alumni to register themselves giving them an opportunity to connect with other Kuwait based members. In addition, constant updates regarding the association and its activities are provided to registered members through a Whatsapp group.
