Kanhangad, Jun 15: Senior Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leader C.K. Padmanabhan has accused Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan of failing to maintain law and order situation in the State.

Mr. Vijayan seemed to be acting like a party leader as he failed to condemn the attacks on BJP workers in Kozhikode by CPI(M) workers, Mr. Padmanabhan said, addressing the BJP-sponsored ‘Marxist Akrama Virudha Janakeeya Samithi’ here on Wednesday. “The CPI(M) is trying to engineer violence to divert public attention on the administrative failures of the LDF ministry,” he said.

Hindu Aikyavedi State general secretary E.S. Biju addressed the gathering.
