Kasaragod, Feb 3: Uprooting the Modi-led NDA Government at the centre and showcasing the strength of the UDF against the undemocratic rule of the LDF would be the two-point agenda for Congress party in the upcoming Lok Sabha elections in Kerala, said AICC working committee member and senior Congress (I) leader A K Antony.
Inaugurating the flagging off function of the Jana Maha Yatra led by Kerala Pradesh Congress Committee (KPCC) President Mullapally Ramachandran here on Sunday, the veteran Congress leader said the election would be a "Kurukshethra war" for the party. The State elections in the five states is a pointer of the forthcoming victory of the UPA at the centre.
The ruling LDF will have to pay the price for their anti-people and undemocratic functioning in the State including their stance on the Sabarimala issue. The Congress has gained strength over these years and it is time to showcase it to uproot the NDA at the centre. But, the leaders and workers will have to work hard and reach out to the people, Mr Antony said.
