Mangaluru: Jamiyyatul Falah distributs fruits among patients to mark R-Day

Mangaluru: Jamiyyatul  Falah, a state government award winning charity organization’s Mangaluru Corporation unit distributed fruits among patients of Lady Goshen Hospital, Kairiya Trust Thokkotu Girls School students and HIV care centre ‘Sneha Deepa’ home for children through a program as part of social responsibility of the society on the occasion of Republic day on 26th January 2019.

The event started with the Quran recitation, subsequently inaugurated by the President of Mangalore CorporationUnit Mr. AbdulQadir.

In occasion, the chief doctor and staff members appreciated Jamiyyatul Falah’s contribution to lift the society’s downtrodden community.  They appreciated the members of the organization for their commitment and dedication to conduct such an event for a noble cause.

Unit vice President Aboobakar G.H., Secretary Jamal Kudroli, Seniormembers of Jamiyyatul Falah B.S. Mohammed Basheer, M.I.Bava, Salih Koya, Nazeer Ahmed and Mohammed Haneef were also present at the event and distributed the fruits packet to the patients and students.

The program got lot of appreciation from patients and relatives of patients.

Jamiyattul Falah a well-established charity organisation incepted with message ‘Education is the Key to Success’ in the year 1988 by like-minded individuals. It heralded a revolution in creating awareness on education in the Muslim community of DK & Udupi. It has been instrumental in bringing about a sea- change in educational awareness in Muslim community. It made systematic efforts to see that the message ‘Education is the Key to Success’ reached Muslim community in remote parts of the district. It roped in leaders of local jamats, formed taluk level committees and encouraged and guided youths to join the movement. Gulf sector of JF also joined hands to support the cause wholeheartedly.

At present it has 13 units speared over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. Four (4) units are actively serving in Saudi Arabia’s Jubail, Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah cities.

United Marine Products, Karnataka and Goa has been awarded the MPEDA (Marine Products Export Development Authority) best exporter award for outstanding export performance of 2017-18 and second best exporter of 2018-19 from the govt of India under the category   "Fishmeal, Fish oil and Allied products." held at Grand Hyatt, LuLu convention center, Kochi.
 
The award was conferred in the presence of Central Minister for state, commerce and Industry Mr Som Parkash and Honourable minister for fisheries, govt of Kerala Mercy kutty Amma. Mr Muhammad Sameer, Managing Partner, received the award.

Mangaluru, June 14: The management of Barakah International School and College has announced to waive off 33% of tuition fee in order to lessen the burden on parents who are undergoing financial crisis due to covid lockdown. 

This decision was taken after a series of virtual meetings with the Managing Director, Academic Director, Principal, Manager and PRO.

“While the school needs to continue to meet all the commitments and responsibilities towards the staff salaries, software, networking, etc, we fully understand that in the prevailing circumstances of the COVID-19 pandemic, job loss, reduction in salaries, general hardships of the self-employed businesses and the slowdown in the economy,” sated a release issued by the school.

“We would support our parent fraternity pro-actively and at the same time continue to meet the high-quality standards of our teaching- learning process and infrastructure so it has been decided that 1/3 of the tuition fee to be waived off for 2020-21,” the release said.

Bengaluru, April 3: Central Crime Branch (CCB) Bengaluru has arrested two persons for allegedly possessing illicit liquor.

The probe team also allegedly seized bottles worth Rs 1.25 lakhs from their possession on Thursday.

A case has been registered against the accused and investigation into the matter is underway, Sandeep Patil, Joint Commissioner of Police informed news agency.
