Mangaluru: Jamiyyatul Falah holds blood donation drive at Ullal

Despite the significant achievements of medical science today, there is no factory established that can manufacture blood. It is only in human beings where blood is produced and circulated.

Jamiyattul Falah (Unity for Success), a state government award winning charity organization’s Mangaluru Taluk unit organized Blood Donation camp with the support of Blood Helpline Karnataka (R) and SDPI Ullal in collaboration with Wenlock Hospital, Mangalore at Tippu Sultan Urdu Primary & High School Kotepura, Ullal on Sunday, 24th February 2019.

Jamiyyatul Falah Mangalore Taluk President Ibrahim Kodijal Presided over the meeting and encouraged the gathering to come forward and donate blood to save the human lives. Akram Hasan, State Secretary of SDPI inaugurated the program. 

The event started by the prayers from the students of Girls High School.

To make the occasion a special one, the volunteers of the organizations made an united effort. The efforts turned out to be productive when more than 60 participants donated  blood in the camp. Staff of Wenlock hospital helped to extract the blood from the donors. Some of the donors who could not donate this time were assured for donation in the next camp.

M.H. Malar, Mustafa Addur, U.K. Abbas, Ramiz Kodi, K.M.K. Manjanady, Nazeer Kotepura, Imran Madaka were the chief guests and  Blood Helpline Karnataka, SDPI Ullal Zone and Jamiyyatul Falah members participated in the event to make it a resounding success.

Ashraf Arabi Kalladka, Coordinator-Blood Helpline Karnataka (R.) compered the program. 

The organizer thanked the generous donors, hospital staff, participants and the representatives who worked day and night for the success of this event.

Jamiyyatul Falah is highly excited after experiencing a great success of the event and also planning to keep on involving in such life supporting activities.

Mangaluru, May. 21: The Bearys Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCCI Mangaluru) is held the Eid Kits distribution program on Wednesday, 27th day of Ramadan (20.05.2020) at BCCI office in Kankanady, Mangaluru. 

It distributed around 250 kits including some cash amount to the needy

BCCI president Mr S. M. Rasheed Haji, vice president Mr. Abdul Rauf Puthige, Administrative Secretary Mr. Nissar F. Mohammed, and Executive Members  Mr. Mumtaz Ali B.M., 
Mr. Mohammad Haris,
Mr. Mohammad Sharief, Mr.  Asif Soofikhan were present.

Bengaluru, Jul 18: Karnataka minister R Ashoka on Friday said that the COVID-19 lockdown will not be extended further in Bengaluru.

While commenting on the COVID-19 lockdown extension R Ashoka said, "We have taken expert opinion, and the lockdown will not be extended. It will end on July 22."

Earlier today, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Mayor, M Goutham Kumar called for an extension of lockdown in the city for one more week due to rise in the COVID-19 cases. "It will be better if we get more time to tackle COVID-19 cases. We wish for the extension of lockdown for one more week. We have given the proposal to the government," said Kumar.

Lockdown had been imposed in the city for seven days with effect from 8 pm on July 14 till 5 am on July 22 to curb the further spread of COVID-19.

As many as 3,693 new COVID-19 positive cases and 115 deaths have been reported in Karnataka on Friday, the State Health Department said.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state now stands at 55,115 including 33,205 active cases. While there are 20,757 recoveries, the death toll stands at 1,147.
