Mangaluru: Jamiyyatul Falah holds free Ayush treatment camp

Mangaluru: As a part of its efforts to make basic healthcare accessible for all, Jamiyatul Falah (Unity for Success), a state government award winning charity organization’s Mangaluru Taluk unit conducted free Ayush Treatment Camp with the support of South Kanara District Ayush Dept. and Yenepoya Ayurveda and Homeopathy Hospital, Kollarakodi and Naringana Grama Panchayath at Naringana Panchayath Auditorium on Tuesday, 29th January 2019.

Naringana Panchayath President Ismail Minamkodi Presided over the meeting, Yenepoya University Vice Chancellor Dr Raguveer inaugurated the event and encouraged the gathering to get the benefits of such camp to lead a healthy life. He shared valuable information with the participants.

Jamiyattul Falah Mangalore Taluk Unit President Ibrahim Kodijal, Yenepoya Ayurvedic Medical College Principal Dr PrassanaIthar, Yenepoya Homoepathi Medical College Principal Dr.Varnakar, D.K. District K.D.P. Padmanaba P ,Naringana Panchayath P.D.O. Rajani and memebrs, D.K. Depats; Seior Doctors like Dr.Noorulla, Dr Sahana, Dr Manikarmany other members participated in the event to make it a resounding success.

A special team of Specialist Doctors, Consultants, Nurses and volunteers conducted the camp. More than 200 people got the benefits during the duration of the camp.

JF Mangalore Taluk Unit General Secretary M.H. Malar welcomed the gathering, D.K. District Ayush Departments Dr.Ajith offered the vote of thanks.

Yenepoya Medical College Camp coordinator Abdul Razzak compered the program. At present it has 13 units speared over Dakshina Kannada and Udupi district. Four (4) units are actively serving in Saudi Arabia’s Jubail, Dammam, Riyadh and Jeddah cities.

Jamiyyatul Falah D.K. & Udupi District headed by Shahul Hameed K.K. Gulf sector headed by Akthar Sheikh and Shameer Ahmed Kudroli rendering the service as Administrator.

Mandya, Jul 6: With a journalist from Srirangapatna testing positive for Covid-19, the Mandya District Journalists Association was sealed as a precautionary measure.

Association President K C Manjunath said on Monday that as the reporter has tested positive for Covid-19, it was voluntarily decided to seal down the premises for another month.

Bengaluru, Apr 6: Popular Kannada comedy actor Prakash, popularly known as Bullet Prakash in the film industry, died due to multi-organ failure at a private hospital in the City on Monday.

He was 44.

He is survived by wife, one son and a daughter.

Bengaluru, Jul 18: Karnataka minister R Ashoka on Friday said that the COVID-19 lockdown will not be extended further in Bengaluru.

While commenting on the COVID-19 lockdown extension R Ashoka said, "We have taken expert opinion, and the lockdown will not be extended. It will end on July 22."

Earlier today, Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) Mayor, M Goutham Kumar called for an extension of lockdown in the city for one more week due to rise in the COVID-19 cases. "It will be better if we get more time to tackle COVID-19 cases. We wish for the extension of lockdown for one more week. We have given the proposal to the government," said Kumar.

Lockdown had been imposed in the city for seven days with effect from 8 pm on July 14 till 5 am on July 22 to curb the further spread of COVID-19.

As many as 3,693 new COVID-19 positive cases and 115 deaths have been reported in Karnataka on Friday, the State Health Department said.

The total number of COVID-19 cases in the state now stands at 55,115 including 33,205 active cases. While there are 20,757 recoveries, the death toll stands at 1,147.
