Massive fire breaks out at Abu Dhabi Marina Yacht Club

Abu Dhabi, Mar 7: A fire broke out at dawn at Abu Dhabi Marina Yacht Club breakwater, with the Ministry of Interior confirming the incident on its social media account.

Sheikh Saif bin Zayed, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior, was personally at the site to oversee the emergency procedures.

Details have yet to be determined on cause of blaze and whether anyone was injured in the incident.

On new year day also they had fire disaster...its quite natural up there once in one or two months....it looks like builders don't maintain safety standards at all....looks bad....need to see that the worlds biggest building, Khalifa tower has got required satisfying safety items or not...

Manjeshwar, Jul 8: Manjeshwar police arrested a man with 10 Kg of Ganja while fleeing away from a checkpoint at Battippadavu last night.

The police said on Wednesday that since the vehicle did not stop they had to chase it and after going some distance the driver lost control over the steering and it met with an accident.

The police immediately arrested the accused and the ganja was found concealed in a gunny bag.

Mangalore, Feb 4: Final chance to present evidence and record eyewitness statements with the Deputy Commissioner of Udupi G Jagadeesh regarding the December 19 violence will be held on February 6 between 1100 and 1300 hrs.

Eyewitness and evidence presenters can depose at the Assistant’s Commissioner’s Court Hall in the Mini Vidhan Soudha in the city.

The Deputy Commissioner said that no evidence would be accepted after this last round of public hearing.

Mangaluru, Mar 16: As a precaution against the spread of Covid-19, the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) on Monday decided to cut down its premium, non-AC sleeper, Rajahamsa and express bus services from Mangaluru to Bengaluru and Kasaragod following poor patronage.

The cut down in services is as per the direction of KSRTC's Central office that wants bus services to be operated on priority.

KSRTC Mangaluru Divisional Controller S N Arun said that the corporation has decided to cut down 40 trips to Bengaluru. Concerning Kasaragod, it has reduced the number of trips from 40 to 35. "These include a reduction in services to Mysuru and Dharmasthala also," he added.
