Mogaveeras’ UAE celebrates its fifth anniversary

Dubai, Apr 1:  The fifth anniversary celebration of Mogaveers’ UAE concluded at Crown Plaza Hotel, Al Muteena, Deira, Dubai on Friday.

The day-long was inaugurated by Dr. G. Shankar, President of G. Shankar Family Trust, Ambalapady. M.K. Lokesh, Ambassador of India to U.A.E was the chief guest.

H.E. Lokesh in his speech praised the Mangalorean women and said that they are not just beautiful but are intelligent.  A Kannadiga himself, he shared some of his light moments while in Karnataka wherein he was told that Mysore University lost toppers to Mangalore University after the later was launched.  He added that Mangaloreans are great people whilst considering the hospitality, banking, finance and cultural fields.

A series of entertainment programmes were lined up during the programme. A heart touching social message titled 'Vonji Ponnu' was beautifully presented by Shailaja Kotian and Group. The piece dealt with subjects like 'gender equality, dowry death and female foeticide .

A comedy skit from Sunil Chitrapura made the audience break into laugh riot. Hip-hop, Bharathanatyam to Veeragase, dance ballets by various troups enthralled the audience. Even traditional tulunadu dance ‘pili vesha’ was performed at the venue, which left the audience spellbound.

'Kadala Siri' a rich and appealing Souvenir of Mogaveers was released during the event.

Senior member of the Association Harish Amin was felicitated along with his family for his valuable contribution.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
