Bengaluru, May 11: JD(S) state president H D Kumaraswamy, who was on the last leg of his campaigning in Bengaluru on Thursday, was seen making an emotional appeal to voters to RR Nagar. He told them his very survival depended on their votes.
“If you want to see your Kumaraswamy continuing to live, then elect JD(S) to power. I am ready to work for you. If you keep me alive, then I will save you. Else, I will not live for long,” he rued.
He said if there were instances of their voter ID cards being “snatched”, they shouldn’t be deterred — they should use others documents to vote.
Kumaraswamy, who campaigned in Laggere in RR Nagar and Bidadi, later went to Chamarajpet where his bete noir Zameer Ahmed Khan is contesting on the Congress ticket.
Interestingly, Kumaraswamy, who is contesting from Ramanagaram, hasn’t campaigned there even once.
