Udupi, Sep 9: Managements of Churches and other religious places in the region have been asked to be alert and even the police will have an intensive patrolling in the wake of September Attacks on the churches, said IGP Western Range Alok Mohan.
He was replying to a question on what measures had been taken to handle the possible attacks on churches, as September is the month during which Church attacks were reported and repeated in 2006 and 2008.
"There will not be any room for lawlessness. Police will be very ruthless with the law breakers this time'', he added.
Replying another question IGP said that though Naxalite activities had come down considerably police would not reduce their alertness. "We will continue to be alert and continue to put pressure on them''.
IGP said that every case that came to police station would be definitely registered and investigated. Police will remain fair and firm in all their actions, he said.
