Mangalore, September 23: The management committee of Masjidunnoor, which hit the headlines last week after a small group of women were denied entry for Jum'ah prayers, has reportedly reached a compromise on the issue.
In a bid to avoid the recurrence of last Friday's incidence, the office bearers of management committee convened a meeting of both parties and convinced them that a separate portion will be erected on the top of the Masjid to cope up with the increasing number of devotees, unofficial sources said.
According to sources, the management has asked the representatives of women to give them two months to build an extra portion on the top of the Masjid, after which women can offer Jum'ah prayers too inside the Masjid without any problem. Sources said that both parties have agreed with the decision of management.
The lawyer representing the women told 'Coastaldigest.com' that the High Court has granted permission to women to offer Jum'ah prayers on this Friday too.
