Manjeshwar, February 1: An actor has been arrested by Kumble police on charges of kidnapping and sexually harassing a teen-age girl.
The accused Abdul Sattar, popularly known as 'Album Sattar', secured many fans through his acting in Malayalam Mapille Album “Kalbil Neeyaann Fauziya”.
According to Kumble Circle Inspector Damodaran, whose team played a major role to nab the accused, Album Sattar is the main accused in kidnapping a 15 year old girl from Puchchathabail Darga and sexually harassing her at a lodge in Mangalore.
Background:
When local people witnessed the girl stepping inside Album Sattar's Swift car near Puchchathabail Darga during Urus, they rushed towards the car. However, Sattar's car had managed to escape from the local people along with the girl.
The very next day the girl returned to her home and explained her strange experience with the accused. He had sexually harassed her after persuading her to go with him. Later, her family members had lodged a case with Kumble police station.
Blue films
Inspector Damodaran said that Album Sattar was also producing blue film videos. “He was shooting the obscene pictures of girls using pen camera after enticing them. There are strong allegations that he was misusing the girls after promising them to give an opportunity to act in Mapille albums. He was exploiting girls sexually and with a hidden camera, used to shoot that act” he said adding that a thorough investigation will be conducted into the matter.
