Mangalore, February 12: The state government has dismissed GD Narasimhamurthy, former deputy tehshildar of Moodbidri nada kacheri in Mangalore taluk on the charges of bribery.
The order came after the Special District and Sessions court found him guilty of charges of accepting a bribe of Rs 5,000.
Sleuths of Lokayukta police had trapped the official while accepting the bribe.
The court directed Narasimhamurthy to undergo five years rigorous imprisonment (RI) and directed him to pay a fine of Rs 75,000 or undergo additional 18-months RI for default in paying fine.
