Mangalore, February 19: Student should involve in extracurricular activities along with developing interest in science and technology, said Corporator Diwakar Pandeshwar.
He was speaking at the Bala mela organised under the joint auspices of Women and Child Welfare Department and Anganawadi Kendra at Police Lance, Pandeshwar here on Saturday morning.
Mr Pandeshwar said along with the curriculum students must gain additional knowledge on science and computer in their early age in this competitive world and also participate in cultural activities to develop their personality.
Head teacher Beena said to encourage children and provide quality education to the students, such melas are being organised.
Around 50 children participated in the male and exhibited their talent in front of their parents and teachers in the mela. Dalit leader P Keshav was also present.
