Mangalore, March 17: Foggy morning for the second consecutive day in the city continued to throw air traffic into disarray on Thursday and many flights at the Bajpe airport were disrupted due to the strange weather.
It is confirmed by the official sources that at least two flights were delayed by up to two hours due to reduced visibility.
The Kingfisher flight which was scheduled to land at 8.20am, was held up for more than an hour till it got a window to land at 9.30 am.
The Jet airways flight took off from Bangalore only after the conditions were conducive for landing, at around 9.30 am.
According to a meteorological officer, the fog occurs when the relative humidity is above 95 percent and on Wednesday and Thursday, it was nearing 100 per cent.
