Laptops are gone, Mobile technology is in'

Mangalore, March 25: Laptops and desktops are obsolete and the new technology is mobile technology of iPhones and iPads, said Jayaram Bhat, CEO, Zenprise, Silicon Valley, California. Bhat's company has been writing security software for the Blackberry.
He was addressing IT students at AIMIT, St Aloysius College, Mangalore on Thursday, March 24.
Speaking further about recent developments in the Information technology world, he asked the students to learn to develop applications for the emerging disruptive technologies . Since new technologies are taking shape, security issues are very important and there is a lot scope to develop software to have secure systems, he said.
Bhat also talked about 'Cloud Computing'. He was happy to note that AIMIT offers some of the new emerging technologies in the updated syllabi of MCA and MS (software Technology). He also mentioned the role the social networking in the lives of people, and how the industry will have to be open to such corporate social networking. He encouraged the students gathered to think big and to work hard to achieve goals in life. “Nothing is impossible for those who have a vision ad dream”, he said. Bhat also said that there are ample opportunities to come up in life and one need not go to the western world to get a good job.
After the talk he went around the AIMIT campus and had a look at the infrastructure, the paintings and the museum donated by Max Rasquinha. He also met Rev Dr Ozzie Mascarenhas SJ, Chairman of the MBA dept of AIMIT.
