Ibrahim Badshah Educational Foundation celebrates its second anniversary

Ullal, August 8: Ibrahim Badshah Educational Foundation (IBEF), affiliated to Sunni Vidyarthi Sangha (SVS) celebrated its second anniversary with the slogan “Let us all become educated (Ellaru Vidyavantharagona)” recently.

On the occasion the programme “Ba Marali Shaalege”, encouraging dropouts to return to school, also celebrated its second anniversary.


Muneer Saqafi Ullal offered Du'a gracing the occasion.


In his inaugural address, Muneer Saqafi lamented for the educational conditions of Muslim Community. Referring the Sachar Committee report he said that it was disaster for Muslims community that over 60 per cent of Muslims did not pass SSLC.


He commended the efforts of IBEF for its efforts to educate people who have discontinued their education.


U D Abdul Hameed of Dakshina Kannada Sunni Centre called upon the gathering to encourage education among the community.


Samshuddin Alekal, an auto rickshaw-driver who completed SSLC after 8 years was felicitated during the occasion.


U S Hamza, Treasurer, Ullal Darga Committee presided over the function.


Ansar Alike, Chairman, IBEF, welcomed the gathering. Musthaq Ahmed proposed vote of thanks.


Khubaib Thangal, President, SVS recited the verses of holy Qur'an.


A A Khader, Ibrahim Kakkethota, Kunhi Ahmed, Ameer were among the others present.


The institution aims to educate Muslim students who have discontinued education due to various reasons.

Bengaluru, Feb 13: 'Karnataka Bandh' call given by various Kannada organisation demanding implementation of Sarojini Mahashi report for ensuring job reservation to local people (Kannadigas) in the Private and government organisation, including industries, evoked mixed response in the State on Thursday.

The Bandh call was given by the “Karnataka Sanghatanegala Okkoota”, comprising a few factions of “Karnataka Rakshana Vedike” (KRV) and was backed by Ola-Uber Cab Drivers’ Association, a few auto unions, farmers’ associations, street vendors association, trade unions and transporters’ associations.

Meanwhile, Airport Taxi Services also supported the Bandh which forced flight passengers to find it difficult in finding the transport for reaching their destination in time. Fortunately, BMTC bus services at Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) was available at the Airport.

Thiruvananthapuram, Feb 26: The Kerala Police on Wednesday arrested a man who had threatened people protesting against Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) in Delhi on social media.

"The person was arrested by Agali police in Palakkad district for trying to instigate communal violence," the Police said.

On Tuesday, Kerala DGP Lokanath Behera had said that strict action will be taken against those who try to create any communal divide.

"Action will be taken against those who create or forward such messages that create communal tension through social media. All messages on social media are under police surveillance," he said.

Bengaluru, Jun 12: All the four candidates, including former prime minister H D Deve Gowda (JDS), and senior Congress leader Mallikarjna Kharge, on Friday were declared elected unopposed to the Rajya Sabha from Karnataka.

Karnataka Assembly Secretary sources here said that all the four candidates, who were in the fray for as many berths, were elected after the last date of withdrawal of candidature ended on Friday.
