Kasaragod, August 11: A woman who was riding pillion in a motor bike died as the two wheeler overturned after falling in a puddle on the National Highway near Uppala on Tuesday night.
Zainaba,46, residing at the Badar quarters in Bhgavathy nagar died of the injuries.
She was returning from the house of a relative in Udyavar in the motor bike her son Kalanthan was riding. Zainaba fell on the road and was fatally injured as her head banged on the road. However, her son escaped with minor injuries.
The Kasargod-Mangalore National Highway is horribly scarred with pot holes and puddles. It takes more time for vehicles to pass through the broken stretch of the road.
