Mangalore, September 25: Janata Dal (Secular) leader J S Noronha died on Sunday at a private hospital in the city after a brief illness. He was 69.
Noronha was one of the vice-presidents of the State unit of the party. He was also the president of Rachana Catholic Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Medical sources said that he died due to a massive heart attack.
Noronha is survived by his wife and three sons. The funeral will be on Monday at St Lawrence Church, Bondel at 4 pm.
Local leaders of JD (S) MG Hegde, Shashiraj Shetty, MB Sadashiva, Abdul Majeed Suralpady paid last respect to Noronha.
