Shivanna game for a role in Tulu cinema

October 2, 2011

Mangalore, October 2: Sandalwood hat-trick hero Shivraj Kumar on Sunday expressed his readiness to act in a Tulu cinema if he gets an offer.

Shivanna, who visited this coastal city after three long years to participate in a private programme, replying a question posed by one of the scribes, said that he would not hesitate to accept an offer from a Tulu cinema producer as he knew a little bit of Tulu.

The actor also announced that he would launch the Shri muthu Trust on July 12 next year, the day he turns 50.

Keeping the aims and objectives of this proposed trust under wraps, the actor expressed his resolve to keep away from active politics and continue in his reel world.

"I hail from a family of actors and intend to remain that way, without coming to the world of active politics," Shivanna, who has acted in around 100 movies in 25 years of his journey in the film industry, said.

Hesitating to comment on the much talked Darshan episode, the hat-trick hero stated that the court would take a decision on it. “Let the challenging star reunite with his family soon,” he wished.

Asked about the Karnataka Film Producers Association's reaction to Darshan-Nikitha case, Shivanna recalled his father Dr Rajkumar's opinion that it is wrong to impose ban on any artist.

Shivanna also clarified that there was no competition between him and his brother Puneet Rajkumar, who according to the former is a better actor.
