Mangalore, January 9: 'AMBIT Short Film Competition-2012', scheduled to be held at Canara First Grade College, here on Sunday, January 9, will screen a grand total of twenty one short films.
In order to facilitate and promote film making regionally, AMBIT has been organising a short film competition every year.
Entries have already come from all over Karnataka and a few from outside the state, including from FTII, Pune, Kerala in various languages including Kannada, Tulu, Malayalam, Hindi etc.
Veteran film makers, winners of several state and national awards with an experience of serving in important film award committees, Mr.P.Sheshadri and P.H.Vishwanath has been in the Jury with Mr.M.Abdul Rehman Pasha in the Jury Chair.
The films will be screened between 8:00 am and 5:30 pm.
On the same evening, AMBIT Short Films Excellence Awards will be given to the best three films chosen the Jury.
Before screening of each film the director, producer, cast and technical team of that film will be introduced to the audience.
