Mangalore, February 18: The All-India Ideal Teacher's Sangha on Saturday organized 'Educational and Cultural Convention' for Muslim Teachers' at the Badriya Pre University College, here.
Inaugurating the event, Moses Jayashekar, DDPI, appreciated the effort of AIITA in creating moral responsibility in teachers through constructive programmes.
“These programmes create awareness among teachers and remind their professional responsibilities, and in turn students will get value based education”, he said.
“In the past if a child committed a mistake it would be corrected by punishing and correcting them. But today one has to understand the mind of the children and educate them without hurting them”, he said.
The programme was presided over by Principal of Badriya College, Dr N Ismail. Giving his introductory remarks Amanullah Khan said that with modern education, modern technologies must also be used to educate the children. “Along with this, teachers must imbibe moral values in them and when they educate children with these values, we can build a healthy society”, he said.
Saleem Pasha, lecturer, DIET, Hassan, delivered a lecture on 'Primary Education Policy: Aspiration and Challenges'. Muhammad Rafeeq, Advisor, Talent Research Foundation, will spoke on 'Relevance of thoughts of Maulana Abul Kalam Azad'.
Rahmathullah welcomed. Hasina and Ruksana recited the verses of Quran.
