Mangalore, March 8: Campus Front Of India staged a protest in front of the Deputy Commissioner's Office on Wednesday, opposing the BJP led state government's move to experiment its Hindutva agenda in the education sector by introducing 'caste' column in the PU examination application form.
Speaking on the occasion, CFI DK District president Haider Habib said that the government which is supposed to be secular and abide by the principles of the democracy, is trying to promote caste system in the education sector which is a negative development.
“The BJP is trying to Brahminise the education system and it is for the same reason it has introduced caste column in the examination application form which would help the government differentiate between Brahmin and non-Brahmin and backward community students”, he alleged.
The protesters later submitted a memorandum to district administration.
