Puttur, March 19: The three-day 'The light on Islam' exhibition concluded with a grand note here on Sunday with thousands of visitors thronging the exhibition site near Puttur bus stand.
According to organisers, South Karnataka Salafi Movement, more than 25,000 people learned about Islam with the exhibits highlighting the fundamental concepts of the religion.
People from Mangalore, Udupi, Bangalore, Bidar, Mysore, Dharwad, Hassan, Chitradurga, Gadag, Kasargod and other districts visited the exhibition, which was held between March 15 and 18, the organisers said.
The exhibition venue was spread across six acres of land. The volunteers of South Karnataka Salafi Movement also explained the significance of each of the exhibit in Kannada, Tulu and Malayalam languages.
Lectures on various topics of Islam were also held on all the three days with a number of non-Muslim brothers taking part in the proceedings, said the organisers.
