Mangalore, March 19: City Police Commissioner Seemant Kumar Singh released Infomedia Yellow Pages-Mangalore on Monday here in the presence of Nagarajan J Udupa Vice President of the Ocean Pearl.

Speaking on the occasion, Mukhtar Qureshi, Executive Vice President, Infomedia18 said with an extensive compilation of business advertisement the new edition of Infomedia Yellow Pages-Mangalore provides a comprehensive and user friendly experience and it also carries information about Bangalore to make it more informative.

He also said that Mangalore-Udupi was known as cradle of Indian Banking and one of the most industrialized districts. It has major information technology and outsourcing companies. The focus sectors are chemical and fertilizers Information Technology food processing and fisheries. This region is also famous for Educational institutions and tourism.

“Infomedia Yellow Pages has shouldered the responsibility to support the growth and prosperity of this small business sector in Udupi –Mangalore” he said.

He said with the launch of the new website, www.yellowpages.co.in, Infomedia Yellow Pages has taken all its advertisers online thus giving them a national presence.

Bengaluru, Mar 13: Upset over her husband’s insistence that expenses for her heart ailment be borne by her parents, a 26-year-old homemaker hanged herself at her residence in Manjunatha Nagar, near RT Nagar, on Tuesday midnight.

RT Nagar police said Lakshmi Sharma was also being harassed by her husband Dharmananda Sharma to divorce him. Dharmananda, his father Krishnakumar and mother Sharavati were arrested on Wednesday and remanded in judicial custody.

An investigating officer said Lakshmi had left a suicide note explaining the torture she underwent.

Tumuku, Jul 6: Senior Congress leader and Kunigal MLA Dr H D Ranganathm tested positive for COVID-19 on Monday.

The 48-year-old Congress legislature, a doctor by himself, was admitted to Manipal hospital and recovering, he said in a tweet.

Dr Ranganath said he took all precautions, yet could not save himself from the virus and advice people to not to take the contagion lightly.

Mysuru, Jan 5: The ongoing pilot project on documentation of all unprotected monuments in Mysuru taluk has yielded significant results with over 100 sculptures recovered from the rural hinterland.

Launched by the Karnataka Department of Archaeology, Museums and Heritage, the project will help map and document the number of monuments in the Taluk. Based on their importance, they will be added to the protected list.

Sources in the Archaeology department said so far the team has completed mapping of monuments in two Hoblis--Varuna and Jayapura.
