Under-19 and Under-16 cricketers selected for KSCA Academy coaching

Mangalore, April 6: Karnataka State Cricket Association Mangalore Zone has announced the list of Under-19 and Under-16 players selected for the KSCA Academy coaching camps.

The camps are scheduled to be held simultaneously in Mangalore, Manipal, Madikeri and Gonikoppa from April 9.

In Madikeri and Gonikoppa, more players will be selected before the start of the camp, a KSCA spokesperson said.

Many players could not attend the selection trials due to examinations in these areas.

Bengaluru, Mar 13: Karnataka Health Department is planning to set up a separate hospital for COVID-19 so that the affected can be kept in quarantine at one place.

Presently, it is in the process of setting up separate isolation wards for COVID-19 cases at eight Bengaluru hospitals.

Minister for Medical Education K Sudhakar said on Friday that he has already discussed the idea of a separate facility for COVID-19 cases, so that those isolated, can be kept at a single location to contain the spread of the virus.

Bengaluru, Aug 7: The results of Karnataka Secondary School Leaving Certificate (SSLC) examinations will be announced on Monday, August 10.

Primary Education Minister S Suresh Kumar said, "The results will be announced at about 3 pm on August 10."

This year, over 8.50 lakh students appeared for the exams amidst the Covid-19 pandemic fear across the state.

The department conducted the exams successfully despite resistance from various quarters and pressure to postpone the exams.

Mangaluru, Apr 17: Authorities in Dakshina Kannada have announced a fresh coronavirus positive case. The patient is a resident of Uppinangady in Puttur taluk.

With this the total number of covid-19 positive cases in this coastal district mounted to 13 even though most of the patients have recovered and returned home after treatment.

In past twelve days this is the first coronavirus case reported in the district.

It is learnt that the 39-year-old had been to Delhi. He was home quarantined for past few days. His throat swabs were tested positive for the deadly disease today.
