Mangalore, April 23: An ailing cargo ship loaded with cement and other goods reportedly sank 70 nautical miles off Mangalore on Sunday night, causing heavy losses.
However, all the seven crew members including the captain of the vessel were rescued by another boat named 'Good Will', sources said.
It is learnt that the ill-fated cargo vessel had started its voyage towards Lakshadweep from the city on Saturday. However, on Sunday night it was caught in turbulent water and sank .
Though the vessel belonged to one Usman from Gujarat, one Ibrahim from Bunder was overlooking its operation.
