Mangalore, May 7: The private institutions play crucial role in the development of education sector in this area of Karnataka, opined Karnataka Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda.
He was addressing the gathering at the inauguration of decennial celebrations of A J Institute of Medical Sciences and A J Institute of Dental Sciences at Kuntikan in City on Sunday.
“The work of private institutions in the health and educational field is immense and commendable,” he said and added that the deemed universities and colleges in the State should grow higher to compete at the national-level.
He said that the State government is committed to encourage education. “Government has allotted Rs 15,000 crore for the growth of education field in Karnataka. We are having continuous talks with Central government in this regard,” he added.
Chief Minister released the decennial celebrations souvenir of the institutions on the occasion. MP Nalin Kumar Kateel, Assembly Deputy Speaker N Yogish Bhat, former Union Minister Janardhan Poojary, Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences Vice-Chancellor Dr K S Sripraksh were also present at the function.
