Mangalore, June 12: A group of people under the banner of DYFI stormed into the office of Bizarre Karnataka Franchise at City Light Building in Mangalore on Tuesday and held a protest demanding return of invested money in what appears to be yet another case of people being duped surfacing in the city.
The Kerala based company was collecting Rs. 14,000 from people, assuring them a return of Rs 2 lakh. Sensing that something is fishy, the investors asked back for their money which had not been provided to them by the company as promised. On enquiry, the company told them that the money could not be returned as the company account had been seized.
Angered by the response of the company officials, a protest was held inside the office and police was intimated. An agent of the company was quizzed by the police officials.
Company officials have assured that the investors' money would be returned back.
Mangalore North police are investigating the case.
