Mangalore, July 6: As part of nationwide campaign to 'save Jammu and Kashmir', the Mangalore City-South unit of Bharathiya Janata Party (BJP) staged a demonstration in front of Bharat Mall in the city on Thursday.
Rejecting the interlocutors report on Jammu and Kashmir as 'prejudiced', Monappa Bhandary, the former DK District President of warned against any attempt on restoring pre-1953 status to Kashmir having autonomy, separate constitution, etc.
He said prima facie the report is not only objectionable but highly damaging to the unity, integrity and sovereignty of the nation. “The demands of the separatists have been given official sanction through this report,” he said.
He alleged that the recommendations of the report making every possible effort to please “the anti-national and separatist elements”.
Srikar Prabhu, Roopa Bangera, Sumana, Shakila Kava, Raghavendra Rao and others were present.
