
Tasleem Sheikh, son of Sheikh Azeez hailing from Nagpur in Maharashtra has filed complaint at Judicial Magistrate First Class II Court in the city against Sooraj B Kotian and Chandrashekhar Upadhya, both residents of Mangalore.
In his complaint, Mr Sheikh stated that he along with the Mangalore based duo had started restaurant in Sharjah in March 2009 after a partnership deal.
He said that he had invested Rs 60 lakh for restaurant besides depositing Rs 10 lakh and Rs 3 lakh in bank accounts of Upadhya and Kotian respectively as per their request.
However, the complainant stated, the duo committed a criminal breach of trust by selling the restaurant in 2011 without even informing him.
Moreover the accused refused to return the money invested by him and returned to Mangalore, said Mr Sheikh.
Taking cognizance of the complaint the Court has has directed the Kadri police station to investigate the matter.
