Delhi, April 11: A Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) worker has been stabbed to death in Delhi's Model Town area allegedly by a party councilor.
The incident happened last night reportedly after Jai Prakash had a heated argument with Madhav Prasad, who is a sitting BJP councilor and a contestant from ward number 71, Sangam Park in north-west Delhi.
Madhav Prasad has been detained and is being questioned by the police.
Jai Prakash was reportedly angry with Prasad as he opined that the councilor, during his five-year term, didn't do much work but was still nominated for elections.
The scuffle happened during a meeting Prasad was holding with a few other party workers. When Prakash turned up at the meeting, Prasad accused him of sabotaging his campaign and allegedly stabbed him in the ensuing brawl.
Prakash was taken to hospital last night. He succumbed to injuries this morning.
