One-day seminar on ‘Sixty India has told Pakistan of outcome of 26/11 probe: Mathai

New Delhi, July 5: India has conveyed to Pakistan the outcome of the investigations into the 2008 Mumbai terror attack and looks forward to them taking action on the information, Indian Foreign Secretary Ranjan Mathai said here Thursday on day two of his talks with his Pakistani counterpart Jalil Abbas Jilani.

Mathai said Indian Home Minister P. Chidambaram has spoken of the "scale of conspiracy and extent of control (of players in Pakistan)" in the attacks.

"We did convey on the outcome of the probe and we look forward to them taking action on the information," Mathai said at a joint presser with Jilani.

The talks that began Wednesday were held in the backdrop of the interrogation of 26/11 plotter Abu Jindal Hamza and his confession that the terror attack on Mumbai was controlled from Pakistan.

India Wednesday did not hand over a dossier on Abu Jindal to Pakistan at the talks as it was felt that doing so at this stage will hinder the probe.

Jindal was arrested June 21 at the Delhi airport after he was deported from Saudi Arabia. He has confessed to being in the control room in Karachi directing the 10 terrorists who launched their carnage in Mumbai, killing 166 people and injuring 238 people.

New Delhi, May 30: An Air India flight from Delhi to Moscow on Saturday had to return midway after the airline's ground team found out that one of the pilots had tested positive for novel coronavirus, officials said.

"When the A320 plane, which did not have any passengers as it was heading to Moscow to bring back stranded Indians under Vande Bharat Mission, had reached Uzbekistan's airspace, our team on ground realised that one of the pilots had tested COVID-positive," senior Air India officials said.

"The flight was immediately asked to return. It came back to Delhi at around 12.30 pm on Saturday," the officials said. The crew has been quarantined. Another plane would be sent to Moscow to bring back the stranded Indians, according to the officials.

Aligarh, Jan 14: Uttar Pradesh Minister Raghuraj Singh has courted a major controversy after he said that people who raise slogans against Prime Minster Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath "would be buried alive".

The minister said this on Sunday while addressing a rally in Aligarh to muster support for the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) 2019.

"If you raise slogans against Prime Minister Narendra Modi or Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, I will bury you alive," he threatened.

He was apparently referring to protests held by students of Aligarh Muslim University against the CAA during which they allegedly raised slogans against the Prime Minister and the chief minister.

The minister further said: "These one per cent people are opposing the CAA. They stay in India, eat up our taxes and then raise 'murdabad' slogans against the leaders. This country belongs to people of all faiths, but slogan shouting against the Prime Minister or chief minister is unacceptable."

He also launched an attack on India's first Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru. "What was Nehru's caste? He did not have a 'khaandan'," he claimed.

Raghuraj Singh is minister of state in the labour ministry in Uttar Pradesh.

Thiruvananthapuram, Apr 22: Eleven more people tested positive for COVID-19 in Kerala with totalpositive cases in the State touching 437on Wednesday.

Two house surgeonsof the Kozhikode Medical college are among those who have tested positive for the virus.

The two had travelled outside the state,Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan told reporters.

Kannur reported seven cases, Kozhikode two, while one case each was reported from the districts of Kottayam and Malappuram.

Only one person tested negative.

The state has 127 active cases and 29,000 people are under observation, including 346 in hospitals.
