Tulu Forum holds Art Competition in Qatar

Qatar, January 23: Tulu Koota Qatar oraganised an Art Competition at Indian club on January 20, 2012 as a platform to executive their talents in Arts.

The program started with welcome speech by the President of Tulu Koota Qatar Ramachandra Shetty, who thanked all the participants and the sponsor Ali Bin Ali and Partners for their support and encouragement to hold Art competition.

The competition was divided into four divisions: Sub Juniors coloring, juniors drawing and Painting, junior clay.

In Sub Juniors Coloring 30 members participated, the winners were Sahil Shetty, Vaidehi Poojary and Pranav Praveen.

In Juniors Drawing and Painting, Manasa P Rao 1^st, Srishti Shetty 2^nd and Alron D Rego 3^rd.

In Junior Clay Modeling, Srishti Shetty won 1^st Prize, Achira Shetty 2^nd prize and Rachana Shetty 3^rd prize.

Adult Rangoli, 1^st prize went to Nimi Poojary, 2^nd Veena V Rao & Padmashree Shetty and 3^rd Prize Sushma S.

The Chief Guest of the evening Mr. Pavanarama Bolubail (Senior Sales Manager) of Ali Bin Ali and Partners, main sponsors of the event,

Distributed the prizes.

‘Nama Tuluveru’ Purushotham Salian passes away in UAE

Dubai, Aug 7: ‘Nama Tuluve’ Purushotham Salian, a staunch stalwart who always supported humanity and a strong pillar for Tuluvas in Dubai, passed away August, 4 at Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain. He was suffering from cancer and was admitted to Al Tawam Hospital Al Ain some time ago. He was on the last stage of illness which was not detected earlier.

His funeral last rites were conducted on Thursday August 7 at Jebel Ali cemetery in Hindu rites with a few of his family members present. Due to Covid pandemic, neither his body was able to be flown back to hometown nor could his two children come down to attend the funeral. However, it was said that his wish was to be cremated here in Dubai which unknowingly sometime back he whispered to one of his friends.

Purushotham had few years ago, survived a heart attack and fought back his life, though it had a minor paralytic effect on him. Even though, till recently he used to do his day-to-day work normally. He was a hard working personality and owned a readymade garment shop in Ajman and Dubai mostly taking care of clients with requirement of uniforms and coveralls. His dedication towards work was always appreciated by his clients who used to get their things delivered on time always.

He was never a publicity person and was helping the poor and needy in whatever ways he could silently. He strongly supported the community and was associated with Nama Tuluveru and Billawa community with commitment. He used to voluntarily come forward for the ground work of various functions of the community and used to be there until it was done perfectly.

Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurates campaign for 20th ‘Learn the Qur'an’ conference

Riyadh, Feb 24: Indian Islahi Center, Riyadh (IICR) kicked off the propagation campaign of "Learn the Quran" national conference, which is slated to be held on March 27, 2020 at Nofa Istiraha, Exit 18, Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. It's IICR's 20th successful program.

Kerala Legislative Assembly's opposition leader & Congress leader, Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurated the campaign that was held at Voco Hotel in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ramesh was on two days visit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The objective of the campaign is to instil the keenness & to keep creating the continuous awareness amongst the community on Quran. It also enables to recite the Quran with Tajweed (science of reading the Quran) & correct form.

Aboobakker Edthanatukkara (President of IICR), Abdul Qayyum Bustani, Kunhi Kumbala, Abdullah Vallanchira, Adv. United Ullal Sporting to host Kingdom Premier League-2020 under MCA Riyadh

Riyadh: Cricket Lovers are all geared up for the newly launched franchise based tournament - Kingdom Premier League (KPL) 2020 under the banner of Mangaluru Cricket Association (MCA) Riyadh.

SAQCO –SAAD AL QAHTANI CONTRACTING is the Mega Sponsor for the event and PARAMOUNT is the CO Sponsor.

The 6-team tournament is being played at MCA Grounds on Exit 18 in Riyadh beginning from 14 Feb and shall end on 20 March.

The Opening ceremony took place on AL-Mas Restaurant in Riyadh. The trophy launching as well as Jersey launching took place at the same event. Guests from various companies including SAQCO were present.

All teams will play at least one league Match against every other team. Top 4 teams in the table will qualify to play for the Qualifier 1 and Eliminator. The Winner of Qualifier 1 will be heading towards the final and the 2nd finalist will be the winner Qualifier 2 (Played between loser of Qualifier 1 and Winner of Eliminator). The Finals will be played on 20th March.
