IFF Riyadh hosts happy-healthy sports meet

Riyadh, March 27: India Fraternity Forum – Riyadh chapter organised its annual Sports meet under the theme ‘Happy Life Healthy Life’ at a Sports Club in Aziziah, here recently.

The events started at 11 pm and concluded next morning at 9 am. Objective of this program was to edify IFF members about the value of healthy and happy living.

Approximately 200 applicants from Riyadh region (hailing from various districts of Karnataka) participated in various events of the night-long programme.

IFF Riyadh Karnataka secretary Haris Sowkar welcomed the guests. Speaking after inaugurating the programme, Nasar Thumbe – President IFF Riyadh – Karnataka Chapter emphasised the significance of maintaining healthy and happy life.

He also advised that to utilize youth power to build an ethic and peaceful society and bring unite in the community. Chief guests Jalaluddin Kerala and Faizuddin from Tamilnadu were present on the dais.

Jaluuddin while addressing the program said that regular exercises have the big roll to prevent health troubles.

He said that the health conscious is one of the teachings of Islam that everyone should follow in the society without age barricades.

Congratulating the participants, Faizuddin said routine Sports will keep people away from the disease such as diabetes and cholesterol.

All the sports competitions held in between 4 squads which divided into four colours - yellow, blue, green and red. The events began with an eye-catching march-past comprised by the teams which were led by Raheem Surathkal, chief coach for IFF – Riyadh, Karnataka Chapter. Competitions were in various types of sports like volleyball, Kabaddi, tug-of-war, circle, sack jump and three legged race etc.

Yellow squad coach Shafi Omanjoor, green squad coach Abubekr Siddiq, Red squad Coach Abdurrazaq Uchila and Blue squad Coach Haneef Adyapadi lead their teams towards success.

At the end of the events, all the winners were awarded medals and trophies for their individual and group performances by Saleem Moulvi, Kerala. Programme organised by Abdul Aziz, Surathkal and conducted by Usman Kunjattoor. IFF Riyadh coordinator Naushad Katipalla proposed vote of thanks.

Riyadh, Feb 24: Indian Islahi Center, Riyadh (IICR) kicked off the propagation campaign of "Learn the Quran" national conference, which is slated to be held on March 27, 2020 at Nofa Istiraha, Exit 18, Riyadh, Kingdom Saudi Arabia. It's IICR's 20th successful program.

Kerala Legislative Assembly's opposition leader & Congress leader, Ramesh Chennitthala inaugurated the campaign that was held at Voco Hotel in Riyadh, capital city of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. Ramesh was on two days visit in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

The objective of the campaign is to instil the keenness & to keep creating the continuous awareness amongst the community on Quran. It also enables to recite the Quran with Tajweed (science of reading the Quran) & correct form.

Aboobakker Edthanatukkara (President of IICR), Abdul Qayyum Bustani, Kunhi Kumbala, Abdullah Vallanchira, Adv. Abdul Jaleel, Naushad Ali Kozhikode, Mujeeb Ali Thodigappulam, Muhammad Kutty Kadannamanna, Fasal Rahman City Flower, Mujeeb Irumbuzhi, Jaleel Alappuzha, Arafat & others were present on the occasion.

Kuwait: Friday Forum Kuwait conducted its 12th inter-school Islamic Elocution Competition at Hotel Rajadhani Palace, Khaitan on 1st January 2020. 

The competition, which was held in the senior and junior categories had participation from 15 Indian Schools across Kuwait comprising of 43 students. In the senior category, Ayisha Wafiya of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Efrem Joseph of Indian Community School, Amman won the second prize. 

In the junior category, Hima Jameela of Indian Community School, Khaitan bagged the first prize and Fadhel Kandapath of Fahaheel Al Wataniya Indian School won the second prize. Nawaal Yaseen Ebrahim of Indian Community School (SR), Salmiya and Rhruthunanda of Indian Learners Own Academy, Abbasiya won the consolation prizes in senior and junior categories respectively.

This year, the event was fully conducted by the ladies wing of Friday Forum. Dr. Thasneem Amir, Ibtisam Basheer, Toast Masters Ola Rasheed, Fatma Abduhedeid, Shazia Thabassum and Marium Rangat were the judges for the competition in senior and junior categories. The event started with the Qira’at by Saneera Riyas, followed by welcome speech by Dr. Sajna Mohammed. 

The prizes were distributed to winners by Shahina Mansoor, Femitha Faseeh, Dr.Thasneem Amir, Dr. Sajna Mohammed, Zeenath Yacoub, Safna Sayam and Saneera Riyas. The Souvenir for the program - “INSPERIA 2020”- was released during the event by the chief editor Farha Abdul Rahman. The program was compered by Thanveera Noushad and the program convenor Subeana Shabeer conveyed the vote of thanks.

Dubai, May 20: Dubai-based Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club’s humanitarian services in charge Naseer Karaje team have appreciated the efforts of Dakshina Kannada Deputy Commissioner, Mangaluru Airport director, NGOs of Mangaluru, and MLA for extending a royal welcome to second batch of repatriates from Dubai that landed at Mangaluru Airport on May 18.

There was so much of confusions when 1st batch of repatriation flight landed in Mangaluru airport on 12th May due to lack of proper arrangements and co ordination.

This time due to proper arrangements and special supervision by the DC everything was driven smoothly. It has given a confidence to all the Manglurean expats of Dubai in returning to their native places, the KSCC said.
