NRCC of Jam’iyyatul Falah hold Annual General Meeting at Riyadh

Riyadh, May 6: The Non-Resident Cooperation Council (NRCC), the overseas ruling body of Jam’iyyatul Falah had their annual NRCC Meeting for the term 2011-2012 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia on April 26, 2012.

NRCC is the administration of four active units in Riyadh, Dammam, Jeddah and Jubail, which supervises all the major decision taken by its Head Quarter in Mangalore.

Moderator of the Meeting Mohammad Nawaz (Ex-President of Riyadh Unit) opened the meeting with the permission of NRCC Ameer S. M. Jaffer and invited Mohammad Mubeen (Ex-President of Dammam Unit) for Qirath and the meeting was commenced with recitation of Holy Quran and Mubeen interpreted its meaning which enlightens the importance of charity and brotherhood in Islam.

President of Riyadh Unit Akhtar Shaikh, took the honor to welcome the NRCC delegations from Jeddah, Dammam and Jubail Units. He expressed his and his unit’s pleasure to host the NRCC Meeting in Riyadh.

Addressing the gathering of NRCC delegates, NRCC Ameer S. M. Jaffer took the immense pleasure to welcome all the NRCC Representatives from Riyadh, Jeddah, Jubail and Dammam. He said the presence of all NRCC Units is the symbol of unity which will enhance to understand the commitment to the community.

Jubail Unit, the host of last NRCC meeting took the opportunity to present the Minutes of Meeting and Abdul Samad Kolnad read the minutes and after the few changes in the minutes, the Minutes of Meeting was approved and adopted.

During the first session of the meeting, all the NRCC representatives distributed their report of achievements and accounts for the term 2011-2012. The head of each NRCC representatives had shared the opinion and advised to each other how to improve the activities and succeed the target of achievements. Each unit had acknowledged their shortcomings and pledge to take necessary steps to overcome the deficiency and improve the unit with proper guidance from each unit.

Many pros and cons were discussed and the NRCC representatives from Jeddah, Dammam, Jubail and Riyadh units actively participated in the healthy discussions and took some vital decisions to implement unified LSOP (Local Standard Operation Procedures) to run the day to day activities of Local NRCC Units. Riyadh unit took the responsibility to update the LSOP and the final draft will be distributed to all the NRCC units for their approval and immediate implementation.

In order to avail the maximum benefits provided by the state government and the central government for the minority communities, NRCC representatives had strongly emphasized to appoint a paid ‘Administrator’ at JF Head Quarter in Mangalore, who should exclusively work and perform to get the maximum funds from the related institute and concerned departments. The roles and responsibilities were discussed in the meeting and accordingly the NRCC Ameer will instruct JF Head Quarter to execute with immediate effect.

NRCC Representatives seriously focused on funding for New Hostel on Community Hall and unanimously agreed to finish the major construction work before the monsoon season and discussed the maintenance of existing Hostel. NRCC Ameer had appreciated all the NRCC Units for their valuable contribution towards the construction of New Hostel on Community Hall.

All the NRCC Units has collectively appreciated the progress of “Green View School” at Adkarepaddu, the prestigious project of Jam’iyyatul Falah. All the Representatives has expressed their views and presented their opinion to upgrade the school with finest standard of education.

The second session of the meeting was commenced and NRCC Ameer S. M. Jaffer had presented the report on ‘Utilization and Benefit of Dialysis Machines’. This is another success story of Jam’iyyatul Falah and NRCC Ameer appreciated the effort executed by the members of JF Mangalore Corporation Unit for the success of this noble cause.

It was decided by the NRCC Representatives to seriously work on the completion of all the existing projects and step by step the new projects in the field of education will be implemented as per its requirement. Every projects implementation should deeply analyze and consider according to its essentiality.

Since last several years, Dammam and Jubail units were consistently supporting and contributed to SSS (Student Support Scheme). It was decided in the NRCC meeting that the pattern of SSS should improve to benefit the students as per his/her requirement. Dammam and Jubail Units were given the responsibility to prepare and study the new scholarship pattern under the existing system of SSS, which will be implemented from new academic year 2013 in all 11 JF Taluk Committee through JF Head Quarter.

The Year 2013 will be commemorating as a “Silver Jubilee Year” for Jam’iyyatul Falah. The NRCC Representatives had described this as a prestigious event of JF and all the JF members should take the privilege to mark this event by forming a strong committee to execute the celebration with excellence. It was also suggested to appoint or take the opinion from the best event management companies to make the event most memorable to each and every members of Jam’iyyatul Falah.

The third session of the meeting was commenced with the ‘Open Forum’. The audiences were given the opportunity to ask any questions related to Jam’iyyatul Falah and its activities. The panelist – NRCC Representatives – had answered the queries of audiences to make them understand about JF and its activities.

Election for the New NRCC Ameer was carried out and the President of Riyadh Unit Akhtar Sheikh was unanimously elected by the NRCC Representatives and the outgoing NRCC Ameer S. M. Jaffer and all other NRCC Representatives had congratulated the New Ameer. In his sworn-in speech, Akhtar Sheikh had assured all the NRCC Units that he will coordinate with Head Quarter in Mangalore and simultaneously will inform the results to NRCC Units of the updates and development in Head Quarter and look forward to receive the maximum support from all the NRCC Units for the betterment of Jam’iyyatul Falah in particular and the community in general.

New NRCC Ameer has suggested General Secretary of Dammam Unit Mansour Ali Ahmed to be JF NRCC General Secretary to support him during his tenure and Mansour Ali Ahmed was unanimously selected as a ‘JF NRCC General Secretary’.

General Secretary of Riyadh Unit Nazeer Ahmed had proposed the vote of thanks while the Moderator of the meeting had reminded all the NRCC delegates to carry forward to its success whatever discussed in the meeting in a positive note and to keep close associate with each unit and maintain proper coordination with JF Head Quarter in Mangalore.

NRCC Meeting was dispersed immediately after the Dua’a.

The NRCC Meeting was held at Red Onion Restaurant in Riyadh and the delicious dinner was served to all the guests and the NRCC Representatives immediately after the NRCC Meeting.

Dammam: Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka chapter distributed Food Kits for Indian expatriates labors who were in trouble due to Corona lockdown on April 6, 2020 at a labor camp here in Al Khobar.

The labors, most of them are from the staes of Karnataka, Andhra Pradesh And Uttar Pradesh, were in trouble without food.

 Recieving the information leaders of Indian Social Forum immediately visited the camp to take survey.

Indian Social Forum with the help of donors distributed food kits. Indian Social Forum, Dammam, Karnataka Chapter president Mr.Mohammed Shareef Jokatte expressed gratitude for donors for their contribution.

Dubai: In response to UAE health authorities encourage blood donation campaign Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta - U.A.E, conducted blood donation camps on April 22 at Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and on 23/04/2020 at Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah.

The Abu Dhabi camp was inaugurated by Head of Department of Abu Dhabi Blood Bank, On this occasion she gave brief inputs of the benefits and features of blood donation, urged the participants to spread greater awareness about the importance of blood donation and congratulated the AKO members for their selfless social service and wished all the best for their future endeavours.

Abdul Rasheed, President of AKO presided over the function and Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta Vice President Mr. Mohammad Nasir appreciated the effort for organizing this camp and gathering youths to be a part of this noble cause as life is precious on this earth. "Each drop of blood counts much, so kindly take it as personal compassion to help unknown who requires blood with no relatives to help him/her.

In Abu Dhabi 41 and in Sharjah 49 donors participated in this event and donated their blood. It was nice to see cheerful smiling donors doing a great community work.
Blood bank staff and AKO Organizing team enthusiastically arranged the campaign which was witnessed by many members and leaders of various community organization of Karnataka.

Anivasai Kannadigara Okkuta President briefed the participates about the ongoing social work of AKO in this current COVID-19 pandemic grim situation AKO is working on following fields: AKO Members have stepped up to support needy community during the Covid-19 pandemic have gone out of their way to comfort those struggling to deal with the challenging situation.

While thousands of people continue to #StayHome, many are in quarantine, there are those on visit visa and stuck here, others have lost jobs or face salary cuts. AKO in coordination with UAE Embassy and other social organization have been able to ensure basic necessities are fulfilled with food provisions and medical assistance to needy.

Providing counselling to bachelors and families those are on quarantine and isolation.

The organizers thanked everybody especially, UAE Health Authority, Abu Dhabi Blood Bank Khaldiya and Blood Transfusion and Research Centre, Sharjah, Management and staff as well as donors for their time and support for the good cause.

Dubai: A non-profitable social organization, KSCC is delivering a great service to the community during this pandemic situation.

Karnataka Sports and Cultural Club is a civil organization registered under Community Development Authority (CDA) involved in implementing various UAE government initiatives, blood donation drives, health campaigns, sport events, charity works, awareness programs and much more.

KSCC is currently actively liaising with Dubai government authorities in discharging the needs and requirements of the people in these challenging covid-19 pandemic times. It is also involved the activities such as logistics, coordinating stores, mobilizing isolation centers, equipping quarantine facilities and volunteering services.

During these testing times, KSCC is also facilitating the Guidance to the general public, follow-up up to 122 covid positive cases, counselling the affected, assisting the references and providing the ever-necessary emotional support by setting up a team of 24 reserved persons for call center helplines.

As per the request from DHA (Dubai Health Authority) KSCC has successfully organized the blood donation drive and donated upto 141 units of blood with the help of KSCC members & supporters.

Apart from above, KSCC is also engaged in serving needy by distributing the food provisional kit (Yestahloon) from the very 1st day of lockdown till day by their special task force team under guidelines of CDA, and also taking into consideration the month of Ramadan, team is successfully distributing Iftar food & provision kit with the help of donors.

In the 1st Phase, KSCC covered 2421 beneficiaries by providing 440 provisional food kits, 435 food pack and 529 Iftar kits.

As per the CDA guidelines, club is also engaged in following up the health condition of senior citizens living in UAE.

KSCC special team is also engaged in clearing documentation and formalities related to dead body repatriation until its final procedures and handing over to relatives with help of UAE governments authorities. Total 5 dead bodies are repatriated in their 1st phase of service.

KSCC is also having a center controlled special task team to assist all above activities during the covid-19 pandemic to continue the services to general public.

KSCC thanks all Government authorities, Members in different task team, supporters and Sponsors company MAERSK, MALABAR GOLD & DIAMOND and TAMIL ENTREPRENEUR for their support and also request extend their support to consolidate the above demanding service and deliver our best possible assistance not only because it is the month of Ramadan, but also our responsibility to reach out to the poor and needy, during this fight against Covid-19.
