Families congregate at ‘Jam’iyyatul Falah Coastal Festival 2012’ in Dammam

Dammam, May 7: The weather condition in the morning had a stormy wind with sand storm and drizzling, but still the volunteers of Jam’iyyatul Falah (Eastern Province) had kept the preparation in full swing for “JF Coastal Festival 2012” by keeping the faith in Almighty God, and with His blessings, the shining evening had extinguished the fear of misfortune and brought back the mood of festival with a very pleasant evening.

As promised by the organizers of JF, the event had given a wonderful opportunity to bring together the spirit of Mangalore to create an environment of Festival. Men, women and children had joined the festival of joy and excitement together with their friends and relatives to discover the amazing native atmosphere of Mangalore. The “JF Coastal Festival 2012” showed up a huge gathering with more than 1800 participants from different provinces of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.

It was a radiant and enjoyable social event of one of the distinguished society of Mangalore Diaspora arranged by the charitable organization Jam’iyyatul Falah’s (JF) mainly focus on Education, Medical Aid, Social & Health awareness. Jam’iyyatul Falah, a Karnataka State award winner for best NGO and the pioneer in organizing the Family Get Together in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia since 1995. JF also extend scholarships to over 3,000 deserving students each year and distribute free books. Also, provide regular support, help to orphan, poor students, Ambulance and Medical aid to poor patients as well.

“JF Coastal Festival 2012” the 18th annual event of Jam’iyyatul Falah organized jointly by Dammam & Jubail Units, which was recently celebrated at Al-Multaqa Istirah in Dammam 91 Area. It was an evening filled with fun and frolic, Quran recitation competition for children, Quiz competition for Adult and games for Children and Adult with many more fun and excitement. The Event had offered a great reason to enjoy the fabulous evening, which brought together the spirit & essence of Karnataka.

The celebration commenced at 9:30pm with an introductory speech and the Holy Quran recitation by Shabbir Mullah and immediately followed the Qirath competition for children from age group of 4 years to 13 years. The competition was judged by Mohammad Ishaq, Abdul Samad and Mohammad Ismail.

“JF Coastal Festival 2012” was well planned, formulated and organized by the Executive Committee Members of JF Dammam & Jubail Units. The team of event working committee was well managed by the Event Chairman Mohammad Hussain Araki, Event Manager Sharief Karkala, Event PRO Munaf A. U. S, Event Coordinator Farook Kanyana and Event Moderator Mansour Ali Ahmed.

It was then the Quiz Master Kamarudeen’s turn to trigger the evening with ‘Quiz Competition’ session. Kamarudeen, very efficiently and meticulously handled the competition and did a commendable job by keeping the crowd entertained throughout the evening, with the able assistance from Mansour Ali Ahmed and the team. The five teams were participated and all the five teams were formed spontaneously few minutes before the competition and each team had four participants. The tie-breaker round between the two finalists had made the competition most exciting and the prizes for the winners of Quiz Competition were sponsored by Dabur Saudi Arabia.

The entire evening was filled with various fun and exciting games like Volley Ball for bachelors. The games for children was well organized by Mohammad Wahid and his team, which made the children excited to play the different games like running race, Dog and the Bone, Bombing the city, Passing the parcel and In the Pond on the Land, etc. The attractive prizes were presented to all the Winners. All prizes for games played in the evening by adult/children boys and girls were sponsored by Mohammad Hussain Araki.

The kiosk from Pine Hill Arabia Food Ltd., the manufacturer of Indomie, Toya and Popmie brands of noodles has attracted all the children with their sampling of wet and dry noodles. The children enjoyed the taste of delicious flavor of noodles and were also given the gift hampers as complimentary from the biggest instant noodle manufacturer in the Middle East. One more attractive kiosk from Al Jufailah Corporation, the sole distributor of Al-Kabeer Frozen products, the leader in the Middle East Frozen Industry. The product range of Al-Kabeer had pulled the crowd with their appetizing aroma to taste the sample of their new products. The most attractive kiosk of the evening was the Tea Stall managed by the Executive Members of Dammam Unit Hamza Kana, Imran Karkala and Jamal Kudroli. The stall had served different types of Tea including ‘Dum ki Chai’, ‘Masala Chai’ and ‘Sada Chai’ and kept the guests on their toes with the traditional Indian sweet ‘Jalibee’.

All programs and its activities were conducted under Islamic environment and the event had provide a Book Stall by “DARRUSALAM” and the fast moving publications of Darrusalam was put in the exhibition, who was selling the books at 20% discount for the participants in the “JF Coastal Festival 2012”. Also Shanthi Prakashana has displayed their Islamic books in Kannada language and many had purchased to add in their book collections.

The food court at the event had squeezed and jammed the crowd to taste the scrumptious Dinner catered by the famous Indian Restaurant “Grill Garden” of Al-Khobar. The mouth-watering Indian cuisine creates a center of attention to the crowd and enjoyed the yummy and delightful taste.

General Secretary Mansour Ali Ahmed had diverted the crowd by announcing the commencement of 16 Raffle Prize Round, which was drawn after every 10 minutes which had thrilled the crowd and the winning excitement in every person had made the Raffle Round ecstatic. The winners for Raffle Prizes were extremely happy to collect the valuable electronic items. The Raffle Prizes was sponsored by Aleem Hafeez. The crowd was eager and anxious to try their last chance of winning the prize. The Event had a Mega Prize of 32” LCD TV sponsored by IGC Jubail. The most fascinating prize of the evening was its Super Mega Prize of 32” DAEWOO LED TV, Fully Automatic DAEWOO Washing Machine and 290Ltrs Double Door DAEWOO Refrigerator, which was exclusively sponsored by Abdul Mohsin Al-Abdul Mohsin Al-Swailem Est.

At the women’s section, a group of girls below 10 years old were entertained by the marketing team of Mcdonalds Arabia with innovative fun and games. Children were cherished and enjoyed the fun organized by Mcdonalds Arabia. A special program of Islamic lecture had enlightened most of the women present at the venue. The women’s organizing committee had skillfully managed the program and brilliantly implemented the games for adult and children and successfully accomplished the task provided to each volunteers. All the winners were presented with attractive prizes.

The magnificent evening had witnessed the success of the Event and displayed the hard-work of the Event’s Working Committee. In the early hours of dawn, thrilled spectators made a reluctant exit from the venue, thoroughly lost in the magical spell cast on them during an unforgettable night. JF once again create an example to others by innovating and reaching for something even better.

Riyadh, Jan 28: The celebration of the 71st Republic Day was held on January 26th by the Central Committee of the Indian Social Forum Riyadh at the Ramada Hotel Auditorium in Riyadh. People from different Indian states and different religious backgrounds were present during the event.

The program was inaugurated with the unity song, Saleem Moulavi– Regional committee member India Fraternity Forum/Riyadh inaugurated the program.

Social Forum Central Committee president Janab Harris Mangaluru chaired the program and welcomed the guests. In his presidential speech he described and uncovered stories of freedom struggle and participants of Indian Muslims for the freedom fight. He urged everyone to fight against unconstitutional Citizenship Amendment Bill which passed by Centre government. He said that the We will continue its agitation against the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) and the NRC and would not relent unless the Union government withdrew the Act.

Indian Social Forum Karnataka State Committee member Janab Mohammed Naveed delivered the Republic Day message. He said India was formed based on concept of ‘unity in diversity’ and it becomes every Indians’ responsibility to safeguard it. He expressed concern over CAA, NRC and NPR. Across India, students at other universities are against the Citizenship Amendment Act passed by Centre government.  The law offers amnesty to undocumented migrants from three neighboring Muslim-majority countries but only if they are non-Muslim. Critics say that by excluding Muslims, the law establishes a religious test for Indian citizenship, in violation of the secularism enshrined in India's constitution. The Indians, irrespective of caste, creed, religion and region have firmly resolved to oppose the draconian laws and fascist moves to debar the poor. Constitution granted to every person and citizen of India who are not ready to put them on a test of ideology of RSS and programs of BJP to implement the Brahmanist mind-set. He said that the police atrocities against CAA/NRC/NPR protesters had increased only in BJP-ruled States and  there were several loose ends in the police story about the incidents leading to the firing.

On the occasion of 71st Republic Day of India, Qatar Indian Social Forum (QISF), Karnataka State organized a blood donation camp in Doha Qatar, in association with Hamad Medical Corporation on 31st January 2020, Friday.

At first, QISF Karnataka State Vice President, Ziaul Huq welcomed the guests, dignitaries and blood donors.

The Blood Donation Camp was inaugurated by ICC President Mr. Manikantan A P who was the Chief guest. In his inaugural speech, he emphasized that, Service to humanity is service to God. By donating the blood, not only we save the lives, but we get blessings also. He also said that punctuality is the key factor in these type of events and should be incorporated by all of us.

QISF Central Committee President, Sayeed Komachi highlighted the necessity and importance of donating the blood and assured QISF a socio cultural organization will always be ready for this noble cause.

Dr. Vishwantha Kini, a well known Radiologist in HMC motivated the donors.

The camp was started at    7.00 A M and ended at 5.30 PM in which 146 people donated the blood out of 185 people registered.

SKMWA President Abdul Majeed and Dr. Haroon from Asian Medical Centre, who were also the Guests in the programme praised the initiative and efforts of QISF. 

QISF Central Committee Vice President Salam Kunnamal, General Secretary Basheer Ahmed, Northern States President Fasiuddin, QISF State and Branch Committee members Lathif Madikeri, Zakariya Pandeshwar, Saleem Bangadi, Mujeebulla Khan, Nayeem Belapu, Ibrahim UB, Toufeeq, Anwar Angargundy, Rizwan Kalladka, Asif Bannur, Imtiyaz Karnad, Jaleel Kalladka, Haneef Montepadav, Rafiq Uppinangady and other members were present during the programme.

The program was presided and concluded by QISF Karnataka State President Nazeer Pasha.

Mangaluru, May 22: An elderly cardiac patient from Dakshina Kannada, who was stranded in Saudi Arabia due to covid-19 lock-down, has finally reached his homeland thanks to the timely intervention by Humanity Forum Jubail and Indian Social Forum.

The elderly man hailing from Kadaba area of Dakshina Kannada was admitted to a hospital in Madinah. However, his condition continued to worsen due to lack of proper treatment. The efforts by his family members to bring him back home had not yielded results.

Meanwhile, one of the relatives of the patient, Ansari Suratkal, who happens to be a DKSC activist, brought the issue to the notice of the Karnataka unit of the Indian Social Forum in Dammam. ISF contacted Humanity Forum president Zakariya Jokatte, who helped the patient to speak directly union minister D V Sadananda Gowda in a video conference organised by coastaldigest.com.

Humanity Forum also persuaded the Indian Embassy to allow the stranded cardiac patient to fly back to India through Dammam-Bengaluru repatriation flight on May 20. 

However, it was not easy for the patient to travel from Madinah to Dammam International Airport due to lock-down and curfew. ISF not only obtained travel permission for him but also arranged vehicle. Jeddah and Riyadh units of ISF helped in obtaining permission letter in their respective places in spite of travel ban imposed by the police. Madinah unit of ISF arranged vehicle for transportation. Zakariya Jokatte bore the air ticket and other expenses of the patient.
