Yambu (Saudi Arabia), May 8: The India Fraternity Forum-Yanbu, a socio cultural organization of Indians Expatriates here organising a month long health campaign from May 18 to June 15 on the theme ‘Healthy Life, Happy Life’.

A press release issued here by the organisers tated that the inauguration of this health campaign would be held on May 18 at 2.30 pm in RC ground, Yanbu.

A cricket tournament comprising of selected teams representing the various part of India, will be held on inaugural day.

The main purpose of the series of health campaign is to deliver the message of focusing on the relevance of exercise and games to remain healthy among the expatriate community living in Saudi Arabia.

Kuwait City, Aug 9: Indian social forum organised Blood Donation Camp in association with central blood bank kuwait on Friday, 7th August 2020.

The forum organised camp to support the high demand of blood in the context of COVID-19.

All arrangements to maintain COVID-19 protocol were made in the camp including segregation of donors as branch wise batches along with strict safety measures of participants.

Forum also had donated blood to many patients during the lockdown period. 

Hundreds of people donated blood in the camp. The camp organised in Blood Bank, Jabriya was successfully managed by Dr. Asma Rafat and leaders of Indian social forum Vice President Aslam, Secretory Sayyid Bukhari Thangal, Moideen Koya, Khaleel, Aseem, Mohammed Sha, Shihab, Naushad,
Indian Social Forum expressed their deep appreciation and gratitude to the doctors, staff and management of blood bank, forum’s members and donors.

Dubai, Aug 6: Non-resident Indian entrepreneur and philanthropist Dewakara Alva passed away on Thursday August 6. He was 63.

Alva, who hailed from Mangaluru, was the director of Federal Insurance Brokers LLC, Dubai and was residing in Dubai for around four decades. He was reportedly suffering from health problems for last few months. 

He was a patron of Tulu and Kannada language and culture in United Arab Emirates. He was a member of various NRI organizations including UAE Tulu Koota and UAE Bunts

Alva is survived by wife Saritha, daughter Powshali, and son Manal.

Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee, Saudi Arabia organized Republic Day program at AlRyan Policlinic Restaurant Auditorium, Dammam on 25th January 2020.

Abdul Waris, Former Chairman of Indian International School Dammam Inaugurated the program.

Wasim Rabbani, president of Indian Social Forum, Eastern Province Central Committee Presided over the program.

Mansoor Shah KFUPM, Indian Social Forum Delhi Zone President, Dr. Fayaz Ahmed from King Fahad University Hospital, Amir Moulavi, Executive Member,  India Fraternity Forum (IFF) Dammam, Nasir Koduvalli, Indian Social Forum, Kerala State President, Dammam, Sharief, Social Forum Karnataka State President, DammamJahangir Moulavi, Tamilnadu State president delivered speech at the program. Mohammed Firoz, Indian Social Forum  President, Jubail read the preamble of constitution. 

 Nameer Kerala , Secretary, Social Forum Central Committee welcomed guests while Ashraf Karnataka, General Secretary, Central Committee delivered vote of thanks and Tahir Hyderabad, Secretary, Indian Social Forum, Central Committee coordinated the program.
